    L4060

What are the high flasher guards? I've already replaced one of the flashers on the rear roof after only owing the tractor a short time. Otherwise, love my L4060. I'm assuming the OP is calling is a 40/60 to designate a 40HP version of the 60 series tractor. That's fine, but we all knew that by...

Re: Safety shields No modern country of any significance (and most that are economically insignificant) has open borders. You can emigrate to almost any other country in the world, but need to apply on a form to become a permanent immigrant / citizen. This really isn't that hard. There may be a...

Re: Safety shields Geo, not sure I should continue on our little side track, and I'm not meaning to offend. I think what is important is that you seem to be separating humanity and helping others with following the law. For example, if a mother of a starving child steals food from the store...

Re: Safety shields While I agree if you did remove work opportunities for illegals, that *might* help. The other half of the quotient is what the democrats are currently offering for illegals...free healthcare, even free college, a driver's license, housing assistance, and any other number of...

How do you fill your tank?

Re: how do you fill you tank? Ah, but we love to talk about how we refuel! Mentioned it in the other threads, but I used to refuel from 5 gallon cans. I'm relatively young and don't have back problems but I still hated holding the cans up into the fuel fill in the hot sun while it did take...

Re: Safety shields Healthcare in the US is a major issue for some. A lot of what is said on TV isn't accurate. Nobody is really denied care...its not like people die on the streets because they don't have insurance. The Emergency Room cannot deny anyone treatment simply because they can't pay...

Re: Safety shields I appreciate all the care and concern you folks seem to have. If its any of your business, I have health insurance. Nobody is paying for my medical problems except for me and my employer. Therefore, if I get in an accident in my truck, or on my bike, the only additional...

    Safety shields

Hey, I have no problem with your viewpoint. Maybe it's cuz I'm from New Hampshire, who's motto is "Live Free or Die." We have no law that you must wear a seatbelt in your car, and no law requiring a helmet on a motorcycle. Even though I often wear my seat belt, and sometimes wear a motorcycle...

    Safety shields

...And as long as nobody pulls the trigger, that loaded gun will sit there for a thousand years and not harm anyone. From my perspective, it seems abundantly obvious to me to not lean over a spinning PTO shaft...shielded or not. I typically leave the tractor running while swapping implements...

    L4701 HST range lever

I wouldn't worry about the idling. Up here where I live, its cold out and I plow snow with mine. I'll let it sit and idle for a half an hour each time I start it to warm it up, don't care. My current L4060 shows you how full the DPF is on the dash display. My MX4800 doesn't do that, but I...

    Safety shields

If your car has blind spot monitors in the mirrors, how long before you just glance to see if the little light is on instead of actually looking over your shoulder and carefully checking your mirrors? This sort of complacency has already cost a couple of Tesla AutoPilot drivers their lives....

    L4701 HST range lever

Maybe just back up to your implement in Medium range with throttle at idle? I've never had a problem. Now that you know it can get knocked into neutral, you'll be quicker to react next time...I don't think its a major issue to the point I'd attempt to relocate the transmission range shift lever.

    What is that thing ?

On a B series, that hood ornament twists slightly and allows the hood to be opened.

    Safety shields

I guess I'll buck the trend...I've got a couple of mowers with no safety shield on the shaft and I don't really care. Just need to be careful, is all.

    Safety of zero turn mowers

I own a small landscaping company, and so zero turn mowers are something we commonly use. It seems "homeowner" style zero turns don't have a seat belt or a ROPs. These mowers might still cost several thousand dollars, but are designed for non commercial use. I think a zero turn is very safe...

I wonder about new Kubota tractors...

Despite the folks that think electrics are the answer (they aren't), diesel technology is still progressing. Cummins has a non-EGR Tier4 Final diesel that took a long time to get approved but has been operating on the market for a couple of years now. That is major, since it lowers the cooling...

    Kerosene opps....

NIW is 100% spot on, for all the things he mentioned. You could also buy a "lubricity" additive almost anywhere. Even if it was straight kerosene, the tractor would run it just fine. Dumping the lubricity additive in it would ease any fears of the injection pump or injectors not getting enough...

    Specs: BX vs B ....

I owned a B2920, which is all but identical to a B2601. The B has much better ground clearance than a BX...but the ground clearance with the mower deck on is terrible. I frequently had trouble loading it on to trailers. Not uncommon to drag the deck and / or deck wheels. Nothing ever broke, but...
