Need confirmation that chatgpt is not wrong

Wow. I didn't think I would spark such a debate. Haha. But good info. I was mostly wondering what kubota recommends. So basically "what is the minimum I need to do in order not to void my warranty". Thanks everyone, good inputs.

Need confirmation that chatgpt is not wrong

Before searching this forum, I decided to ask a question to chatgpt. Can someone confirm the accuracy of the response? The details of it make it sound pretty accurate. My question: I own a kubota b2601 and I need to do the hydraulic oil change for the 400h maintenance. Do I need to also change...

    Building a bike rack

No, It stays screwed in tight. But it seems that no matter how hard I tight it, the assembly will still slide across the square bar if given enough force, such as driving with a 12yo suspension on a corolla. So I want to lock it into place. I was thinking something with a ratchet mechanism maybe.

    Building a bike rack

I'm looking to build my own bike rack because I hate the one I have. I'm kinda limited with options since I drive a corolla (that's what happens when you spend everything you have on a tractor). The current bike rack I have is a bad design. The bar that holds the bike down has this clamp that...

Looking for advices for installing cedar posts

Ok, that sounds good. The posts are only used for a deer fence around my garden. So it'll be holding up a light net. So it sounds like this job would be easily done with a backhoe.

Looking for advices for installing cedar posts

I need to install about 10 cedar posts of 8" diameter. The soil here is rather rocky, so I think I would be wasting my money if I rented a gas powered post hole digger.I'm thinking I can just use my BH to dig 3' deep holes and then put a 10" sonotube in the ground. How tricky is it going to be...

    Oring popping out

Turns out the hardware store 2km from me now has a hydraulics section. I found the right adapter and everything is back on track. Thanks everyone.

    Oring popping out

Correct, what I have now is 3/8 NPT female by SAE-8 male. The inlet ports 1/2 bspp as per the information you gave me when looking for a PB sleeve in another thread. Not sure why you need the size of the cylinder ports but here it goes: 1/2 bspp also. The plug on one of the cyl port fits on...

Thank, I'll make some calls tomorrow. Bspp seems hard to find. I doubt I damaged the threads, it goes it very smoothly.

    Oring popping out

The picture is old. It's from when I initially bought it. Everything is the same now, but with oil and diry all over it. I took a picture of the plug that can with the valve and it looks like the rubber is inside the head. Never seem that before. So yeah, not ORB it seems. And this is what I...

    Oring popping out

It is slow in one direction because I have a leak that happens when I activate the valve in that direction. Before I had the leak, it was not slow. I came to realize this while trying to troubleshoot this problem later on. I'm wondering if it's because the hose connected to the cylinder for...

    Oring popping out

It's this guy. The leak happend beteen the orb fitting and the valve block (so not where the teflon is) Are you guys suggesting I should try replacing the fitting and also the o-ring? One strange thing: it happens only when pushing the valve one way, but not the other. I get no leaks when...

    Oring popping out

Yes. The o-ring pops out on one side, the oil is pushing it out on one side. Kinda like a rubber bubble forming. I was using the same o-ring that was working for 2 years and it did that. Then I bought new ones from a store that sells hydraulic hoses so I figure they have the right o-rings too...

    Oring popping out

I have a Vevor valve that I bought for cheap from china. I use it as my rear valve for my snowblower and wood splitter. I understand that this valve is cheap but I never had a problem until today. On the pressure side, the connection is ORB. Today, while splitting wood, the oring popped out on...

    Rear weight for L3301

My father in law wanted a rear weight since he doesn't have a backhoe. I had a few concrete blocks from a wall I cut off 2 years ago. I estimate it weighs around 500lbs. Only goof I made is that the 3ph attachement is too low. So I have to sit the block on something 1ft off the ground to be able...

    FEL legs on b2601

I kept having issues with the right side pin that keeps the FEL legs up on my tractor. The pin would bend or loosen up and fall. Yesterday it happened again and the leg came off as I was pulling a tree with the bucket so the leg bent while it was dragging on the ground. The hell with this, I...
