    l3800 transmission noise

I know this is old, but I just saw this. My L3800 is very quiet, just motor noise and a very little normal gear/trans whine in 7th & 8th.

A few comments about my on-going experience with my "failed" Kubota

This ("failed" Kubota) in the title might have been part of the cause. 'Failed maintenance' of said Kubota might have eased tensions... ;) But you did cover that too... Tex, I do appreciate the good info!

Is the L3800 good for running a 5 foot bush hog?

Not just for looks... The square hood on our old L3750 is so large, it's hard to see what the loader is doing. Much easier to work with the L3800, where you can see the loader while sittin in the seat. ;)

L3010 GST clutch drags when hot

Yep, I also lean toward previous owner operator era. Our 28 year old L3750 is still on it's original clutch. Welcome to the Orange site. Hopefully it'll pick up more around here. :D

Is the L3800 good for running a 5 foot bush hog?

I do get a little tingle when I see a nice old square hood L model, but the look of these new ones is growin on me. I miss my old L245, but I like the L3800 a whole more!!!

    Question for L3200HST owners

Homefront, this just goes to show why companies make so many diff models that overlap, or seem too close to each other. Something for everyone. :)

L2950 GST 4WD with shifting problem

Are you sure you don't have to use the clutch? Never had one like that, but have read about them. Glide Shift I thing it's called? Sounds like you'll need to go into the trans and replace a gear.

    Question for L3200HST owners

Chainsaws; I use as small and light a saw as I can get the job done with, but I like power. Husqvarna 346XP is my favorite, this saw cuts faster than most sub-60cc saws, but is smaller and lighter as well. I'm a saw nut and have too many saws! But that's another story...:) Outboards; When I...

    Question for L3200HST owners

The bottom line is a big part of the big picture. Over the years, I've found it better and not that much more expensive to go with the highest HP in the same size class. This is with tractors, chainsaws and outboard motors mostly.

    weight for l175

I had to hang weight all over my old 2wd L245 to use a 5' rotary mower and a big box blade. Wheel weights on all fours and a couple hundred lbs on the front. Heck of a tough little tractor, 20 years and a few thousand hours.... I miss it.
