Best place to put lift chain on bucket of loader

A friend at work retired Air Force guy says is ok to shamelessly beg, borrow and steal ideas! Gosh I have taken many ideas from here and duplicated them or modified them for my needs. Hope someone has used some of my ideas to meet a need they had.

    Drag Harrow.....gravel on lawn

While I don't blow snow here in NC I do get gravel in my grass. I use a parking lot blower and back pack blower to put it back where it belongs. I pull the blower along backwards and use the back pack to help encourage the gravel out of the grass and in front of the air stream from the push...

    Filter cross reference

I looked for 10 minutes on the Wix site and Baldwin site did not find anything. Coleman equipment has OEM parts and the one you are looking in stock. Should you want to purchase OEM, price was about $38.00.

Where to buy a real post hole tamping prying bar

We use ones like this at the fire dept. and if a fireman can't destroy it then you should be good. Maybe grind a little off the pointed end so it would tamp better but maybe this would work...

    Critique My Binder Setup

Mine is very similar but I remove the draw bar and pin the clevis to the tractor where the draw bar is pinned. I like it that way super rigid and I run the chain from side to side through the clevis. So only one chain and binder in the rear.

    3901 vs house demolition

Here in NC we look for houses to burn for training in our fire district. The process is not bad. We the fire department cover associated cost for inspection and cleanup around the house so we can safely training on it. Usually we get together remove anything the inspector says has to go, brush...

    Tie Rod Boot Replacement

I have 2 options one with no adhesive in it and the other with. I may try the one with adhesive, this will prevent any moisture from getting into it. I'm sure it will stay in place, regardless of the one I choose. I use it on lots of things, even my wheel barrel handles to protect them and end...

    Molybdenum based EP grease

Bulldog has always promoted Amsoil products so I tried the motor oil and grease now it is all I use. The grease stays in place, used Red Tacky for years and was pleased but the Amsoil is now my go to. My local NAPA now carries a limited supply of oil and grease on the shelf.

    Tie Rod Boot Replacement

Nice and perfect timing, mine is due for replacement as well. I am intending to try a modified route. I have a endless supply of heat shrink tubing scraps from work. Various wall thickness and even approved to be installed in nuclear facilities. Plan to take it apart slide on a piece of thick...

    down pressure adjustment?

With mine I lower it to the ground, then in a smooth quick motion push up on the handle and it goes into the float position easily. Also done at a lower rpm might help with you situation. Mine is gear drive, so I keep throttle at 1000 rpms and use the foot throttle most of the time. Exception...

Kubota Transmission Filter & Fluid Change

My L4600 shows 400 for hydro oil it is a gear drive, otherwise it is 200 hours if it were hydrostatic. Not familiar with the MX but if gear drive seems it would be like mine, 400.

    48", 54", or 60" disc Harrow?

I use my disk for food plots and having the ability to adjust the pitch is nice. My first pass each year is more aggressive to cut in the organic material left behind. Second pass less angle to smooth the ground. I then broadcast my seed and cover with my disk set to the angle one less than...

    Paint caulk order of operation

I'm no painter by trade but it was my first summer job. Never hired anyone to paint my homes or anything for that mater. For me I like to prime first then caulk, gives caulk good surface to bond with. In a bathroom I would then prime over caulk, then 2 top coats of desired paint. For primer I...

Kubota Transmission Filter & Fluid Change

Welcome to OOT from NC. I have an L4600 smaller cousin to yours. I do stick with the recommended schedule except for motor oil changes. I change this every 2 years regardless of hours. I change my air filter yearly, friend told me if it can't breath it will die! I do remove the outer filter...

    Best All Around Tractor Grease

Used Red & Tacky for years and really liked it, easy to find and @ $5.00 a tube good price. Switched to Amsoil heavy duty with 3% moly 2 years ago, best grease I have used. Stays in place well and when I go to grease requires fewer pumps to see grease ooze out so I know it is staying where I...

Why do you use a toothbar?

Bought mine to help clean up wood edges where they were encroaching on my garden, roads and paths. I didn't want to just cut of the small trees because that would leave the stumps. Needed it to be clean so I could still drive on it and cut grass in other places. It is awesome for digging up...

    large tractor small implements?

After my dad passed his County Line 4' brush hog was no longer needed. I now use it with my L4600 with no problems. While not efficient as my tractor will pull a bigger brush hog it was free and I only use it 3 or 4 times a year total maybe 15 to 20 hours. I have broke with shear pin, hit a...
