    Determining bevel gear clearance

Dan:. I reread the original post. I stand corrected. The OP does mention lash. I don't have the manual. My mistake. It's a tractor, not a racing car. I'm not into online arguing. I was just trying to help out the OP. My ego left many years ago. But sometimes all the banter draws me in...

    Determining bevel gear clearance

Respectfully, we're kinda beating this up. Having done a few gear changes in diffs over the years. I own and use the tools. I'm no professional diff guy, but I have a little experience. The OP's original question with the manual's "fuse" or whatever the terminology may be, can be measured...

Adjusting the brakes on our Kubota B6200 tractor

That's an old tractor. Oldie but a goodie. Sounds like trial and error is the best plan of action. Compare it to the adjustments made on the left side. Sorry, that's all I've got. Good luck.

    Determining bevel gear clearance

Sounds like gear marking compound is what you need. It's used for similar measurements to Pastiguage, but resultant measurements are determined very differently. I'd try gear marking compound and shim away. I've used it on diffs, which is over kill on a tractor front axle.

Good eyes. Nice catch. Could have been ugly.

In the market for a High Perf Cooler : YETI , Coleman, RTIC , Grizzly...???

We have a 45 qt Ozark Trail rotomold from Walmart that we bought a few years instead of Yeti. Works pretty well but real heavy. A couple months ago bought a Treeline brand rotomold 20 qt from Tractor Supply for $99. Unless we're cooling a lot, we use it more because it only takes one person to...

    BORA wheel spacers

Right! I don't think that they are stainless steel, but kinda looks like it. Maybe a clear coat and bolt them up. I love a well machined part.

    BORA wheel spacers

These arrived today. Almost too pretty to bolt on the tractor hub.

    Seat Springs Changing.

Trying to make this as short as possible. We have an LX2610 Cab model which includes the upgraded factory seat, etc, etc. Seat is similar to a Grand L. To which this may question may also apply. Sadly, it is not an air seat. Anyway, has anyone gone thru the time and effort to change out the...

    Grease fitting

Good point. I understand that. It's Proprietary. The point I was trying to make was the Lube Shuttle method is not difficult to design or create. It's design should have been used a century ago. Instead of the spring plunger method we all grew up with. It's laughable. It's not computer...

    Grease fitting

I understand your concerns. I was just like you. Thought that it would blow out past the rear seal. Saw pictures of it too. I've had ez lube Dexter axles on a few trailers. I ignored the ez lube and repacked the bearings by removing them. Which takes more time. And more money because you...

    Grease fitting

So, my Manual Pistol type grip Lube -Shuttle grease gun kit came today with 10 tubes of moly bearing grease. I am very impressed. I lubed my tandem axle'd 14K trailer via the EZ Lube axles. I actually got no grease on my clothes. And that was after changing two grease canisters. Having a...

    Grease fitting

Relax, kids! My respectful input is; My issues was never with zerk to coupler. My issues are with the current and accepted design of grease guns. In, and of themselves. Most greasing folks will have on hand replacement zerk fittings. I do. Pissing matches on forums are common place...

    Grease fitting

I'm dissatisfied with the typical grease gun due to the spring pressure in the tube. Yesterday on changing the cartridge the plunger popped out of it's catch and blew the whole new tube of grease all over me. Sure, there is a user error factor, my fault, but there's a better way. I ordered a...

    Grease fitting

Not to hijack this thread but I'm having real issues with grease guns. I end up wearing more grease than I get into the machine I'm trying to grease. I just threw away another grease gun today. I'm now considering a Milwaukee or DeWalt cordless, or the German one Tractor Mike advertises. Any...

    Truck Spare Tire Conundrum

Alternate issue... Respectfully to the Admin .. I thought that if I paid for the Lifetime Membership that I wouldn't have to deal with ad's. Now I'm seeing McDonald's Big Mac meal deals and I do love Big Macs. But I have a heart issue.

Yep. And they sell them in sets of 32. I only need 8! I have my 5th aluminum wheel so I'll be getting one tire to mount on it as a spare.

    Truck Spare Tire Conundrum

Good to know. I love my Falken Wildpeak A/T's on my Jeep Mojave, so I went with Falken Wildpeak M/T's on the Super Duty. The M/T is a newer tire for them, but I'm giving them a try.

    Truck Spare Tire Conundrum

It's all good. If you look at the outer tread on the one picture that shows more of the tire you'll see tread seperation along the edge in several places. I could literally lift the tread away from the casing at several places. I don't fault the tires, as they have been great tired and are...
