So, who are the potheads out there?

Get real kids. Stay real. Dope is for dopes.

So, who are the potheads out there?

If life is that bad that an alcohol beverage, like a glass of wine, or a tobacco cigarette, can't chill someone out, there's deeper problems inside the user. I don't do weed or any illegal drugs. I don't see the need. I have no desire. I've seen the dealers peddling their shi%t to grade...

So, who are the potheads out there?

Potheads. Stoners. There is a reason they call 'em that.

    Retirement

It comes down to you. It's a risky decision to retire. If you read and believe the investment, stock, bonds, and 401K blogs, they say you'll need X amount of millions of $ to retire and maintain your desired lifestyle. Most people just aren't there. Portfolio be damned. Life expectancy is a...

    Tractor Newbie

BX sounds right, as others have mentioned. But 1.5 acres, respectfully, isn't usually tractor ownership territory. Do you want a tractor, or is it just that you think you need one? If you are into or want to get into this tractor ownership sort of thing. It's a joy if that's what you want...

Oil Plug fell out on new l2501

This is the craziest situation I've seen. As others mentioned, oil drain plugs don't just "fall out". Secondly, the scratches on the bottom of the picture are peculiar for a brand new tractor. These are not bulldozers, operate them accordingly. Yet, I've never seen impacts causing a...

Salesman gave me a Free Hat.

I went in with my wife to buy a couple Kubota t-shirts and a couple Kubota insulated mugs. A bit over 30 grand. I was shocked. But, they thru in a Kubota LX 2610 Cab Tractor, with heating and AC, loader with bucket and 3rd function, grapple, box scraper and KTAC.

    mystery solved....

I don't about the rest of you, but I'm a little concerned. A decent looking "original" factory weld had nearly no penetration on the one side. Scary, to think how much of an investment these quality Kubotas are, and crap welds may be hidden inside. Like a bit of caviar with a rat's turd...

    Retirement

Congratulations on your retirement! I retired last year and it was the best thing I could have done for my health. Had a crazy stress job for 25 years and I hated it. I still work odd jobs now, and haven't started my SS benefits yet. The first month after my retirement was "everyday is...

    Stuck Thermostat???

Spic and Span is good stuff. Good idea. Redneck or not. But do you really want to break all that crud loose... Blocked passages and maybe keep your thermostat from closing.

    Stuck Thermostat???

In 1980, I bought my first truck, from my Dad, a 1978 Toyota Hilux, at 17 years old. I went through it with fine toothed comb. Replaced points, adjusted the carb, new plugs and plug wires, distributer, adjusted the valves, cleaned the top of the head since I had the valve cover off, etc...

How far do you travel on your tractor?

I'll play the devils advocate on this one... 7 miles!! Round trip is 14 miles. In a 3560? Tire tread damage will definitively NOT be negligible. Your tires will be 25 percent gone. I'm rural, farmland and forest for miles and miles... I see the black marks on the roads from built up...

    HF Quick Hitch questions...again

Just do what the big dogs do and buy a separate tractor or machine for each implement. Who needs a quick hitch? So you want a backhoe... They say: "Nah, don't waste your time, what you need is a mini-excavator". So you mow a lot of ground... They say: "What you need is a zero turn...

First Engine Oil Change for a Kubota L3301 HST

I personally spend the extra coin and buy oil and filters directly from the Kubota dealer while it's in the warranty period. I don't know about the 3301, but many Kubota diesels have 2 drain plugs because the pan is a W shape for front driveshaft clearance. A nail or two or a rubber wrench...

    Sorting my rocks collection

Yep. At my place it's called "tractor therapy ". The stress of life goes away little by little with every operation of the K. Instant gratification, as opposed to waiting for your works results in a mediation meeting or corporate evaluation. Move rocks, dirt, or dig trenches ... instant...

Which Root rake grapples are the toughest?

Nice grapple. The best off-road Jeep builder I know is a condescending and abrasive SOB in online correspondence. I had my doubts but he came highly recommended. So I went to his shop for an issue with my rock jeep. After meeting him in person he was a great guy! He knew his craft very...

Doctor should have been more specific

Your age is important. If you're older than 40, healing takes time. If you're older than 50, healing takes a long long long time. If you're older than 60, healing takes forever, and you might die before the pain stops! It's time to buy a hydrostatic tractor.
