    The dreaded post hole auger

Shoulder replacement: $250,000. The pain and anguish: You don"t want to pay it. Brand new PTO post hole digger with a box of shear pins: $1,000 Replace the shear pin PTO driveshaft with a clutch unit: $400 No brainer. Sometimes going cheap, isn"t. I'm not being an a$$, but we all try to...

What is the best way to fix boom bucket cylinder mount

Easy fix for a good welder. If your not a really good welder, or professional welder, hire someone. As opposed to buying a welder and learning on that break. I repeat what others said: How did you do that? Strange break. I'd guess the pin worked it's way out of the strong side mount, to...

    Leaking LP grapple

My dog peed on my tractor and grapple last year. He was jealous of the time I spent on the tractor and he can't ride in it. Cab's too small. Next day, I thought that I had a leak. Nope, just angry pee.

    Yellow Dipstick

With the glossy plastic, I don't know if the color matters. It's hard to see. I don't think using a Sharpie or similar would harm anything or make it easier to see. Paint is probably just as harmful or harmless as a Sharpie, but paint chips in a bearing can't be good.

Should I shim this Axle Slop

It's the axle to frame pivot, not the hubs.🙂

Should I shim this Axle Slop

Yes, shim it if you'll like. My B7100 had a little slop. Shim it 50/50, front and back. Unless a mount is bent, or you can see excessive wear on the front or back... if so, shim it there. Driveshaft length shouldn't be an issue, but check it if you think it is.

Adding FUEL to the MX6000 makes me cuss

Respectfully. Nothing Fuels up Like a Deere. (That's truth). A play on "Nothing Runs Like a Deere". OP, You bought the wrong brand because refuelling is tough. You should have bought a Yanmar, no wait, I mean JD. (That's a little comedy). I totally respect JD and Yanmar, btw. Just kidding...

    What's cookin' boys?

True, mid-westerners typically like Well in my experience. But my sister and brother-in-law are heavy into the "high end" foody thing. They now like Rare....For meat cooking. IMO, it's a bit pretentious of them, but they either like it or it's an act of status in thier mind. Whatever...

    B2710 4wd has become 3wd

Exactly. A viscuos coupling is a computer and / or pneumatic (oil based) clutch. Computers make life easier. Sometimes. I prefer no center differential, and manual or electric actuated diff lockers. But by wife just wants to get where she's going. Therefore electronic AWD is best for the...

    B2710 4wd has become 3wd

As stated, in an open diff, the wheel with the least resistance with get most of the power. When I say most of the power, it's based on the weight of the vehicle on each wheel and traction with the ground. If the vehicle is completely off of the ground, jack up on all four wheels, you could...

    What's cookin' boys?

Yeah, my bro in law and sis like them blue and bloody. Raw meat texture. But I don't eat sushimi either. They do. I'm not a Well Done man, but Medium. Texture is king for me. And some charred flavor. Not beef jerky, but not raw either. As for mom, Thank you! Mom will go to the next life...

Belly skid plates for L series

The Grand series was never designed to drive in the woods, or rocky terrain. It was designed to haul hay to the race horses and look like a Rolls Royce while doing it. If Rolls Royce made a tractor anymore. Designed to be looked at as one sips his $1,500 bottle of wine and admires it from...

SAE 80w-90 or UDT-2 in Front Axle

Respectfully: Who told you that? If you want a synthetic blend. Buy 75% or 80% dino and 20% or 25% Synthetic. Or Syn blend if you can find it. My ford F 250 manual says synthetic blend. You shouldn't mix oils? I put in the Kubota UDT-2 to top off my front axle. Because that's probably...
