    Oops I did it again...

Next time you weld it, grind as much of it clean as you can first. No amount of shielding will keep that much contamination from weakening the weld. The more often it breaks, the more you get to play with the welder ;)

    L4701 questions loader

Interesting. My dealer only asked if I was picking it up or having it delivered. I don't know why they'd care one way or the other unless they are trying to sell you a trailer. Where in TN are you?

    Box Grader Pitch

youtube it, there are several pretty good videos out there with folks showing how they do it. Like has been said, no specific right way, learn as you go. The videos let you learn faster on someone else's fuel.

    Why don't tractors have suspensions?

My mower has awesome suspension, it's a commercial Ferris ZT. I use it to mow, and use my tractor to do tractor work. If I want to go racing thru the woods I'm in my Jeep LJ or on a dirt bike. Different tools for different jobs. Tractors with plush suspension would be comfy but quite useless...

    Pre delivery inspection sheet

I received the checklist. It was already filled out with everything being checked as done, and they asked me to sign it. I asked "Am I supposed to sign verifying that you guys did all this?" They said no, just signing that you received the checklist, and told me yes, everything was actually...

Loaded tires vs ballast box vs neither

For what it's worth, I left no noticeable ruts in the yard 4 hours after a pretty hard rain. I'm running stock turfs, rears loaded, backhoe attached, and was carrying 3/4 full buckets of dirt. Made 6 passes. You could tell where I went because of the pattern in the grass, but no ruts or...

    Small complaints ???

Mine had .2 hrs on it when I picked her up. They handed me the pre-inspection sheet which was filled out with check marks and asked me to sign it. I verbally asked if all was taken care of but never got around to actually checking everything myself. I assumed the .2 hrs was normal, should...

    Winch installed :-)

    B2650 for 3 acres?

I opted for the 2650 but I don't mow with it and mainly use the bucket and backhoe. I went with the turf tires and love them. I did request them not to be filled, but they were filled when I picked her up. They didn't charge me for it and from what I hear, it can be expensive. So far, the...

    B vs BX Series

There are 2 frame sizes in the B series. I opted for the larger frame sized B2650. It's about the same size as the L, but more deluxe features vs the standard L series. I really like the BH77 mated to it. Much beefier than the backhoe on the BX25 that I was used to using. There is a really...

What can my tractor handle as finish mowers go??

The wife says my advice is often bassackwards. If his goal is to spend more time on his tractor, then he's on the right track by all means :)

What can my tractor handle as finish mowers go??

If price is not a problem I'd suggest a Ferris IS Z mower. You can get a 62" cut and it will mow much faster than your tractor could dream of. My 2650 would have a hard time mowing even shorter grass at 6 mph. My Ferris IS2100Z can run 14+ mph and mow fairly tall grass at 10-12 mph. Add that...

    B2650cab with Landpride RGR1258

As far as I know mine is stock, so I don't know if there are any spacers or not. When I measured, I went from the outermost sidewall point and it was just a fraction under 60". The actual footprint width of the tread (contact with the ground) is more like just under 56". I don't think you'll...

    B2650 Overall Width?

Same. Measuring from the outer most points of the sidewalls, right at 60".

    60” mower guard removal?

I couldn't imagine mowing on a windy day without the guard on. I'd have to wear a respirator suit.

    B2650 Finalizing Build

I did not get a mmm for mine. I already had a Ferris mower that absolutely rips. I've used my dad's BX with mmm to mow, and while it was nice, it's still substantially slower than a commercial ZT mower. They say money can't buy time, I disagree. My mow time went from 3 1/5 hours down to just...

    Trailer Tie downs

I always push the bucket into the front of the trailer so nothing can move forward and strap the axles to the four courners. I've never thought about strapping down the backhoe. My BH77 has a beefy mechanical latch to prevent the boom from dropping. How do you go about securing your backhoe...

    B2650 Finalizing Build

I just picked up mine this past weekend. Really happy I opted for the turfs instead of the R4s. I haven't had any slippage yet, but they are weighted and the backhoe is solid ballast. I had no problems pushing into a pile of clay, rock for a full bucket. If I was planning on significant...

    Bucket level indicator

Well, finally got her and got to spend some time doing some chores. Glad I didn't pay extra for the BLI, I didn't find it useful at all. For someone new to using a bucket I could see it as a way to learn quicker. I may take it off to make wiping her down little easier after a bath.

    Anyone Here Have an L4701 with a BH92? B2650 with a BH77

b2650 sitting on stock turf tires, the bh77 in it's pinned/locked position sits right at 81" tall. It's quite a bit lower than the top of the rops in the up position. Of course, you can unlock the boom and get it much lower to get thru an opening. Hope this helps.
