    Need help installing heater

Answering my own question... The heater in the aftermarket cab has an on/off flow control valve. After speaking with a couple of owners with similar cabs/heaters they advised that shutting that flow control valve off during the summer is pretty much a necessity in order to keep cab temperature...

    BX 25 Starting Issues

Just remember, older tractors didn't have safety switches. Safety switches are an outgrowth of a litigious nanny state. I've shorted across the wiring for the seat safety switch because lubricating the PTO chain driven speed reduction on the front-mounted snowblower is most effective when the...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Spent about an hour last night on "Grandpa's" B7510 clearing driveways at home. This was my first opportunity to operate the "new to me" B2771 blower and the newly-installed cab. Very nice combination. Spent an hour or so today on the B2410 with B2550 front mount blower at the airport...

B7510 Thermostat Bypass (for Cab Heat)

Thanks for your input. I've considered using copper but the passages up through the front pillars of the cab have some rough welds on the inside, welds that I fear would chafe the copper and eventually cause it to fail. The bypass I would use would be the same 3/8" as that which is currently...

B7510 Thermostat Bypass (for Cab Heat)

Thanks for the great replies, folks! I have what looks like a port on the thermostat housing, but in fact it is a depression in the casting rather than a threaded hole with a plug in it. I would have to bore out the hole and tap it in order to get a pipe thread-to-hose-barb fitting threaded...

B7510 Thermostat Bypass (for Cab Heat)

Am getting ready to plumb the cab heater to the engine. Some posts here have suggested using the thermostat bypass pickoff points. This would be especially handy for me since the specifics of this cab limit me to 3/8" (I.D.) hose. Questions for the experts... - see photos below, the...

Mounting b2781b to my 2650 tractor

Move the lever part way to R1 position for regenerative dump. Push it allllll the way over to R2 position. There's a detent separating the two positions (or at least there is on my LA302 loader).

Differences Between BX and L. Personal Experience.

Interesting thread drift to loader control position... B2410 has the loader control up front but has a short actuating joystick. B7510 has the loader control up front but has a long actuating joystick. B7510 to which I'm adding a cab gave me the option to choose since I was also adding a loader...

    Customized Plow setup on B7200

My B7200 had a remote hydraulic valve. It is dead simple to pick off hydraulic power on these tractors. I've just installed a dual spool valve with float function on one of my B7510's - same deal there. Cost of hydraulics is still a good bit less than linear actuators of the same...

    Another battery post (pun intended)

AGM batteries would be perfect for this application. I run Odyssey batteries in several machines. One BIG hint... If you install an AGM battery (Absorbed Gas Mat) do not put it on a trickle or float charger. Float or trickle chargers are intended to overcome the tendency of flooded lead-acid...

    Snow Blower question

I have a B2782 blower on one of my B7510's and its smaller brother, the B2771 on the other B7510. The 21 engine HP of the B7510 is adequate for the B2782 blower. It's not a real power house but it is certainly adequate. I haven't yet had the opportunity to move snow with the B2771 blower on...

Mounting b2781b to my 2650 tractor

Can't speak to your specific model, but on my three B-series tractors (2410 and 7510's) the quick hitch goes on first. The drive shaft from the mid PTO to the quick hitch has a good range of extension on it. Just remember, that shaft doesn't get to extend or retract very often, only when...

Loaded tires vs ballast box vs neither

All 3 of my B's run front mount blowers and 3pt hitch-mounted blades. Two of them have box blades while the B2410 has a home-made straight blade that's an absolute beast. One of the B7510s also gets used with the FEL and I always leave the box blade on the back when running the FEL. One B7510...

    Brand

One specific observation on box scrapers... I have a 5' Bushhog box scraper and a 4' AgriEase box scraper. The AgriEase product is a far, far heavier-duty implement. The 4' scraper from AgriEase is considerably heavier than the 5' Bush Hog product even though it's only 80% as wide.

poly edge for TSC rear blade?

Les - where did you get that rubber blade made? Where are you located in Ontario? (Ottawa area here...) I have what looks like some form of hard plastic on my box blade. Want to put something similar on a straight blade for use at the airport. Can't seem to find a local source of supply.

    MMM winter maintenance

I've done a number of things to keep our old mowing deck in operation (not a Kubota part, but the idea is the same). 1) grease the unit thoroughly and clean up weapage 2) thoroughly clean the underside of the mowing deck - I've found it's far easier to use one of those fancy "twisted wire"...

    Your Tractor's Name?

Have three Kubotas and one Massey 135. Need to find better names for some of them. The Massey is "Pepere's tractor" as it was bequeathed to my wife by her late father, our kids grandfather, or "Pepere". The first B7510 is "the Home Tractor" as it's the one that stays here year round. The...
