    Are all Quick hitches equal?

Any of them will work. I have the HF one and it has been beat to death for over a year and still works great. As stated above in the video the SpeeCo will save you money depending on how many implements you have. The bushings are expensive.

    Day One List

Everything above and... As stated by @River19 the FEL can be your best friend or worst enemy. When you are using the tractor by ANYTHING (house, car, fence, barn, tree, dog, cat....you get the point) your attention needs to be on the location of the FEL. If not, you will hear a terrible...

    Serial Number ID

Can anyone help me determine the year of my tractor? Its an L4400HST and the 'tractor' (not engine) serial number is L4400D84458. From what I can tell online I believe it is a 2008. However, from what I am reading it appears there should be a letter, not number, after the 8 for the month. I...

    Rotary Cutter Width

Interesting. I don't do 'farming' but I plow about 50 acres (total 6-7 fields) twice a year for deer fields and find no difference between the HST on my L4400 and my 1968 Massey....other then the brakes work on my L4400 and the disk IS my brake on the Massey.

    Rotary Cutter Width

Just out of curiosity what are they not suited for? We are talking about one of three methods to move the tractor forward or backward: gear, HST, SS. If you need to move your tractor forward and backward all three are well suited for that application. I'm confused about the 'sides' claiming...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Hauled all of this to burn pile, 60 feet when standing......... and 9 hours later left with this......... Without a tractor a much more difficult job!

Glow Plugs - How Long Do You Keep Them "ON" Before Cranking The Engine ?

My L4400 must not have that feature. Although I must admit I rarely use the GP as the temps here are usually above 60. On the rare 'cold' day I usually hold them on for about 5-10 seconds. However, after reading some of the posts I may start using them regularly for a couple of seconds. EDIT...

What Is Correct Procedure / Bucket Position When Parked In Garage

Exactly. Some folk on here like to 'preach' for paragraphs about what they do or don't do--always has nothing to do with the OP. Needlessly criticizing others makes them feel better about themselves, go figure.

    Losing interest in R14 tires...

I agree with extra width making things a bit more stable!

    Losing interest in R14 tires...

If you are not dealing with 'turf' mowing (yard with a finish mower, etc) the R1 or R4 may be the best option. I do think you are placing too much emphasis on width as opposed to traction. You can put a 25 inch wide tire on your tractor but if it has no traction, or collects mud until it became...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Although not really done with the Kubota I built a place for the Kubota. And a workshop for all of my wife's 'crafts' and such.

    new front rims

Check the dealer, you may get lucky. I had a problem with a rim on my L4400 and they 6 used ones 'in the back' with the tires (in great shape). Purchased two in case of a flat etc. so I always have a spare around. Basically got 2 used, with tires, for the price of one rim.

Another question about New BX23S .. Broken bolt on Backhoe

I understand that it is a new tractor. If it was me I would have the dealer replace the zerks with any paint on them. I wouldn't trust a painted zerk to allow flow of grease. This is pure laziness at the factory and the dealership. If you have a zerk with paint in the hole it needs to be...
