Native species planting, habitat creation restoration projects

I bought 15 acres last October. I haven't decided what to do with it yet. Probably put down some lime and see if I can get clover to grow. The soil is very sandy without much topsoil. There's some sumac that I'll probably shred. Might do corn and soybean food plots but probably not this year.

    B2601 and Uhaul Trailers

Your not leaving much room to balance the load. The extra tongue weight might not be an issue if the tow vehicle is sufficiently oversized but it's something to consider.

Ever run into bad house wiring?

My first place was built in 1910, added onto moved in 48 ish and converted to a duplex. It had knob and tube hooked to 2 wire and 3 wire. One of the runs in the first floor kitchen had 9 black and 9 white wire nutted together.

Stupid Tractor Newbie question about snow depth

If the crust on top is what's giving you trouble, you might try it again on a warmer day as it will soften. Probably end up using your loader though.

    Procal

Has anyone used procal or other liquid lime product? It claims to be cheaper than pelletized lime, but I can't find costing. Any thoughts on how well it worked?

Sickle bar or disc mower for L3901

I'd look at the Hp requirements for the disk. You don't say what width you need but I think that the disk mowers take a fair bit of power to run. They're certainly nicer and I've seen them rated up to 12 mph on tractor models and higher on self propelled models. Unless your field is nice and...

    Inland SA48 snowblower

It's a 1/4" hole. Think I'll just run a grade 5 in it long enough so that the shear area is on the shank rather than the threads. I have the 3ph sorted out. The partial PTO shaft on it isn't quite wide enough to get the retaining rings onto the u-joint. Might try a small gear puller to see if I...

    Dumping landline phone service?

Haven't had a land line since 2004. Already had a cell phone; didn't need one.

    Inland SA48 snowblower

It appears as though buhler bought the implement part of the Inland business. So does anyone have a 4 foot buhler with a 19 inch fan that has a shear bolt in the fan and what are you using?

    REAR BLADE

On a lot of them you can flip the pins to the inside to help you out a little.

    Inland SA48 snowblower

Yeah I saw that one along with one on greentractortalk. I realize that it's a long shot but we do have a lot of Canadians here.

    Inland SA48 snowblower

I picked up an Inland sa48 snowblower. It's missing part of the PTO shaft which I found at TSC. It's been half-assed converted to category 0 and it's missing the shear pin. The PO said it broke them regularly. I'm wondering what should be used for it. This the one for the impeller. The augers...

    Disc harrows

If you have tree roots or rocks in the food plots, the disk may be useful as it will just ride up over them where the tiller will have more problems with them.

    Start in high gear

You need to figure out what is making it lurch to a stop when you press in the clutch. As mentioned, parking brake would be a good place to start. Your trans is not synchronized. Double clutching and matching gears is quite difficult with a hand throttle. I've only met one guy that could do it...

    BX snow removal suggestions.

No expert here, but that looks normal to me, with the front blower from kubota looking pretty good and the Meteor maybe being on the high side, but not unreasonable. I looked into buying some implements from Northern Tool a couple of years ago, and they would have charged several hundred for...

    3 point hitch activation point

If you have an implement mounted, it may be keeping it from going to the bottom of travel. If you don't have an implement mounted, it probably doesn't have enough weight to reach the bottom of travel. Your 3 point is single acting, which means that it raises under force, but uses gravity to...

I think that John's Auto Electric in St Michael MN could probably fix it, but they aren't local to you by a long shot.
