First post here, question about B7000

I like that one. What I've seen for sale over here is just an angle iron frame that you build your own box onto. I got a King Kutter DS-30 30" dirt scoop used for $150. I have some doubts that my L1500DT will pull it as a ditching implement, but it might work for moving things around. If not, I...

    Plow pattern

You'd need to start on the outside with the dead furrow towards the middle of the field and you'd still have a short dead furrow in the middle.

First post here, question about B7000

It looks like a front 3 point for mounting a blade, snow blower or other accessories. It appears to be removable, and I think you will need to remove it for an FEL. I recently bought an L1500DT with the thought of putting a loader on it. I've come to the conclusion that It will probably cost me...

    B20 White smoke

If it's from the breather tube and not the exhaust, it just means you have blow-by. It's what the tube is there for. You always have some, and if it's starting and running well, it's probably normal. You can get the compression checked if your worried that the rings are worn out.

    Plow pattern

They've made mounted plows that have one set of mulboards on top and one on the bottom that flips every time that you turn around so that you only end up with one dead furrow, but you'll always have at least one. They never really caught on. In large scale farming, you don't really worry about...

    LA724 frame break

While it technically failed at the weld, it's a design flaw not a manufacturing flaw for reasons already stated. The weld held up as it should have.

    Swimming Implement?

I never saw him turn the front tires, but you do see one of the rears stop while the other is still turning, so it looks like he's steering with the brakes. You're right about the turning radius though...

    electrical question

Some of the folks at work are getting stand up desks. They have a lift on them that allows the height to be adjusted an so that you can sit at them as well. There's a switch that's mounted to the bottom of the working surface with a cord that's zip tied to the bottom of the desk. That cord has...

Looking for sickle bar mower recommendation for Kubota BX2670

I would think a sickle would handle it. Stuff looks kind of like reed canary grass on steroids. I've run a sickle mower through cornstalks, buckbrush and raspberry canes.

    6 1/2' king kutter disk

I found it on Northern Tool's website. They recommend 35hp & up. The shipping weight is 790 lbs. and I'm pretty sure the 3ph will handle that. I'll keep my eye out for a 4 1/2' one. They recommend 20hp & up for that one. I'll be running it in sand and light loam and I think that the tractor...

    Kubota M4500 Flywheel

Everyone seems to have their own mix and most of them seem to work. My dad and grandpa just used straight kerosene. If the engine is stuck, I pour in kerosene and let it sit until I can get it free, then add about the same amount of ATF and let it sit a few more weeks before I start it.

    Kubota M4500 Flywheel

I use it sparingly on a diesel. I don't know if it's possible, but I worry about it running away on you if it warms up before all the solvents burn off/blow by the rings.

Looking for sickle bar mower recommendation for Kubota BX2670

Would something like: http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/csw/grd/5710143787.html still be too heavy? There would be some fabricating to make it work, and most of them had wooden pitman arms that aren't made anymore, so there would probably be woodworking involved as well. Simplicity and Case...

Looking for sickle bar mower recommendation for Kubota BX2670

How much pondshore are you dealing with here? Would a Jari or other walk behind sickle mower work?

    Will an L1500DT pull a 6 1/2' tandem disk?

    Kubota M4500 Flywheel

If you don't need it right away, a soak in kerosene and ATF mix for a few weeks prior to any more running might help free up the rings.

    Koyker model 80 loader

No, it's not that one. This one is has a 4' bucket. The pictures don't show any brackets or controls, so it probably doesn't have them, but I haven't called yet. It's listed for $1100.

    More Power

There's always a way; it just takes time and money, but upgrading to a bigger tractor and loader or getting a skid steer is probably the path of least resistance. You could swap out the cylinders for cylinders with a bigger bore, but then you'd start breaking the loader. You reinforce the loader...

    Koyker model 80 loader

There's a koyker model 80 loader available locally and I'm wondering if anyone would know the approximate value of it off the top of their head. I've put in an RFQ to a dealer, so I should know sooner or later, I'm just getting impatient. It's supposed to be new on the pallet. I haven't called...
