Yep it is, I get mine at TSC about $6-7 a gallon. 6 years ago I hired some loggers to remove trees and they gave me a simple tip for using gallons. Put a small hole in the foil top and it works great for applying to the #60 chain and gears. My bro mentioned the gel spray and got some but didn’t think it would work it’s way into pins on the chain.
So I’ll stick with bar and chain oil. Thanks

I'm another bar and chain oil guy for things like my snowblower chains and sprokets. I've never tried the WD40 Gel though so cannot comment. Seems like I have far too many spray cans of different stuff. I've always got a good stock of bar and chain oil to support my many chain saws, so have no trouble finding some when I need it.

Seems like the trick is to actually use some form of lubricant / protecting oil rather than using none!

A recently deceased biker friend swore by Lucas Oil Stabilizer-10001-.
He had tried them all.
Following his advice,I've used it years for 14 years on my B2782 blower with 50 chain with very few adjustments.
