That is so cool. I have never considered myself a sentimental person, but as I get older that is starting to change. Especially about hand tool. I guess after retiring I have slowed down and have more time to reflect.
Hahah! Definitely not to young. It’s a re-fillable lighter. They had their own unique sound when lightning and when you shut the top to extinguish the flame. Hang on to it.
Thats exactly what I’ve been picturing for my tractor drawbar. I thought I put the receiver on top tho so the trailer weight would be directly down on the drawbar instead of underneath, pulling down on the adapter frame. I want to be able to transport my e35 Bobcat mini-excavator around the...
My dealer said that when my tractor goes in to have the rear hydraulic block installed they would put their computer on it and try and pinpoint the fault that occurred. Even tho it hasn’t happened again, I would still like to know the cause.
I enjoy cutting firewood, clearing and pushing back fence rows along my brothers farm fields. Occasionally I’ll shut everything down, pour a cup of coffee, warm my hands on the tractor muffler and just listen to the quite. That’s retirement for me.
Mom still has his last thermos. It had been run over by an old Super M he used forever. The bottom was distorted from the incident and would never set flat on a table again. He continued to pack it tho. We still laugh about that.
My dad had a thermos holder on every tractor he ever owned. He drank a quart of coffee everyday away from the house. Hard to say how much he drank total in a day. It didn’t matter if it was -15* in January or 98* in August. Mom would fill his thermos every morning. Here’s to you dad....😉
Good morning swpflipper. I have not found the cause of the fuse blowing. That happened with 7hrs on the tractor. I now have 21 and it hasn’t happened again. It was the 5amp fuse marked “Main ECU” I’ve tried replicating the condition when it blew originally and everything seems ok. I do keep...
That explains my recent dilemma. I put a steering knob on my MX5400 the day I bought it and have had to move it three times! Lol! I thought I was loosing my mind.
Thats a cool story. I could see my dad doing something like that when he was alive. That generation had more ingenuity and were twice as tough as I’ll ever be.
I will do that. Is Shoup a Kubota dealer? The MX series is a new enough there probably isn't anything specifically made for that tractor. Something close would be fine. I can retrofit it myself.
That is definitely true. Most days the open work station is just the ticket for me. I found it odd some of the options Kubota left off the open station tractors verses the same tractor in a cabbed version. The tilt steering wheel was the first I noticed. Second was the bucket level indicator...
Thank you! Yes I did! It seems like a very sound capable work hand so far. Had a 5amp fuse blow Wednesday. Killed the tractor immediately. The dealer checked it out and found nothing obvious wrong. Replaced the fuse and it’s been fine since. We will see....
