Thats a great suggestion! Not a high price for safety either. I am going to to look into that. Is there a monthly or annual service charge?

Thats a good practice. I used to pride myself in not carrying my cell phone. After I retired and was no longer on call, it was a relief to not have to mess with the darn thing. I have since change my stance on that.

I was at the side. I was just standing to close to the loader so I could reach the release levers. I'm only 5'7" so in order to reach both levers at once, I have to step in pretty close. Plus I had the hydraulics in the float position. That was my biggest mistake.

Well now I don’t feel as bad. Thank you! Lol! Yes, what a relief when my rescuer pulled that lever back!

We always had “near miss” discussions at work. They were hard to get started but once they did…..there was always valuable information shared.

That’s exactly the procedure I have used since the problem. I was trying to eliminate a trip on and off the tractor and do both procedures at the same time. It’s surprising how heavy the loader frame is. Lol! I couldn’t budge the dang thing and couldn’t reach anything to pry with. Luckily I had...

This incident has sparked my interest in such an accessory. My compact track loader had that option and it was great!

I seem to have some problems re-attaching the hoses if I don't float the hydraulics before disconnecting. Even then I still seem to have pressure when I re-attach.

I wanted to pass on a luckily not to serious accident I experienced a couple weeks ago. I was removing my grapple bucket from my FEL. I lowered the loader to the ground and floated the Hydraulic lever to relieve the pressure so I could disconnect the 3rd function hoses that control the...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I did the 200 hr service on my MX5400! Changed the Hydraulic/HST oil and filters. It all went pretty well. $381.00 worth of oil and filters. Money well spent I do believe. Now I'm having a glass of wine to celebrate. :)

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Looks great! That is my next purchase also. What brand did you choose and why? The one that came with my tractor has a range of 18 1/2"--32" approximately.

    "Winter" question

Thats good. I can't say I have ever seen that either. The little buggers can do a ton of damage to seats and wires once they find a home. I worked for an electric cooperative and have seen extensive damage done to expensive, elaborate metering equipment and switch gear. In the winter they...

    "Winter" question

Wouldn't the light, a potential heat source, attract the mice? I can see it helping repel raccoons.

    Hydraulic Top Link Recommendations

I have decided to purchase a hydraulic top link for my MX5400 tractor. Any recommendations on manufacturers and lengths?

    New MX5400 Problem

Sorry for the delayed reply. I do not check the forum as often as I should. Unfortunately I don't have much helpful information to share with you. My problem was fixed by replacing a blown fuse. I was told to monitor the tractor and report any further problems. It never did it again! I bought...

    A Couple Of New Friends!

Lol! We have snow drifts that get pushed back as far as possible during snow storms. The wall of snow then melts some on the surfaces from following days sunshine, then re-freezes. The crusted snow make a pretty substantial “wall”. I don’t know if it is an actual term, but it is around these...

    A Couple Of New Friends!

My new Quick Hitch QH20 and Land Pride RB3784 rear blade were delivered today. The offset capabilities of the blade is pretty cool. I’ve never had a blade that would do that. I can push the drift walls back a couple feet further now. Very heavy blade that likes to cut.

Anyone own both a single and dual lid grapple?

Thats a very good conclusion to come to. I would say you have given it some good thought. There are definitely times I would like for my grapple to come closed tighter. It fun to have choices and weigh the pros and cons.
