A Couple Of New Friends!

My new Quick Hitch QH20 and Land Pride RB3784 rear blade were delivered today. The offset capabilities of the blade is pretty cool. I’ve never had a blade that would do that. I can push the drift walls back a couple feet further now. Very heavy blade that likes to cut.

I find with my EA offset back blade that if I use too much offset I find myself 'crabbing' down the driveway. There can be a lot of force extended beyond the wheelbase if you try grabbing too big a bite of that wall.

Lol! We have snow drifts that get pushed back as far as possible during snow storms. The wall of snow then melts some on the surfaces from following days sunshine, then re-freezes. The crusted snow make a pretty substantial “wall”. I don’t know if it is an actual term, but it is around these parts.

Yes I could definitely feel the side force.

If the side force get too great, spin the blade backwards then push the piles off the side, works great for me.
