Lifting 5gal cans of diesel fuel a problem

I was given a 30 gallon tank on wheels for gas, now I just have to figure out a pump for it. It has a pump, but not quite sure what to do with it yet as far as mounting and powering it. It is also nearly full of gas.

    Plasma Cutter

Mine is still sitting on the floor behind me. I came close to plugging it in yesterday and setting it up to cut through a ball joint, but used a cut off wheel instead. Waste of time, the ball joint press still didn't it, was 3/16" too short.

Not in this case. This is a multi layer board with traces running over and under other traces. It burned through several different layers. Without a schematic, difficult to replace the traces due to the scorching, especially since the trace that burnt was in the second layer. Doesn't matter...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Put it to work yesterday. Had a pine tree that needed trimming so that I could run the tractors close to it. One side is the road side and gets cut regularly, the other side is the hay field. Thats the second load. Whe knew pallet forks would be so handy.

B7100D won’t run, puffs black exhaust, “backfire” thru intake…

Either method works for adjusting valve clearance. When at TDC with both valves closed, both should be at the lowest part of the lobe. Likewise, when the exhaust is open, the intake should also be at the lowest part of the lobe and reverse for exhaust. Rotating to TDC for each cylinder is...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Put the backhoe on the Little Mule and got to work pulling the 11 posts out of the hay fields. Discovered can't drive two tractors at once, so put in a bit of walking back and forth between them, one to dig, the other to carry the posts. Next up, moving a hydrant 120'. Just for fun pointed...

B7100D won’t run, puffs black exhaust, “backfire” thru intake…

Classic case of timing. Sounds like the fuel is being injected too early, not burning cleanly and firing off when the intake is open. Can also be shooting in too much fuel. Check the oil for fuel dilution. Diesel fuel injection systems are very complex and intricate, I wouldn't mess with it...

So you got the CUT 55DS? Good price. I haven't set mine up yet, picked up the end to connect to the compressor yesterday so have all I need, but first have to take my filter off the compressore and give it a cleaning so that it will trap water again. The dryer the air the better it cuts. I...

Is the pto shaft longer on the L4060?

Yep, all the standard PTO shafts go on without a problem. The pump goes right on the B2410 and locks in, but doesn't want to go all the way on the L4060 shaft. Going to put a glob of grease on the tip of the shaft and see if it transfers tot he coupler, that will tell me for sure, but I thought...

    Truck repairs

Dammit, turns out the wub wub is a bad hub bearing after all. There goes another $300. I decided after looking the bed over some more that I am just going to replace the cross members and patch the holes instead of replacing the entire bed floor. The two holes happen to be where the installer...

Is the pto shaft longer on the L4060?

I tried to connect the water pump to the new tractor and it wont go all the way on to lock the balls to the shaft. Fits fine on my B2410 though.

Those Lisle snap ring pliers are Da Bomb!! What I screwed around with for 45 minutes, took 30 freaking seconds. I could not get any of the snap ring pliers to grab tight so I could wiggle the ring out of the groove, but the new pliers with that curve and locking mechanism got the pliers locked...

    Plasma Cutter

The yeswelder arrived a little while ago, easy to set up, just need a fitting for the air line and ready to cut. The consumables for an PIT40 work well in the torch, perfect fit and a bit longer than the one it comes with so easier to see and use. It is lighter than the Hobart, no compressor in...

Yep, it will be here tomorrow, got the consumables today and they look good, on par with the Hobart parts, in fact I think they use the same swirl ring.

    Truck repairs

Sharing my PAIN! Salt belt sucks. I am in the process of tearing into the front end on my 2012 F350 to replace the auto lock seals in the shackle. Haven't done one since 2004 or 5 when I had the 99 Dually, and forgot what a PITA they are. That stupid lock clip on the axe inside the hub, I...

    Plasma Cutter

Unfortunately, this is not an easy repair. The board itself is scorched between power transistors. The board is toast. I used to repair aircraft navigation strobe lights and school bus wig wags, so the first thing I thought, maybe I can replace the transistor, but there is an inch long scar...
