    Sticker SHOCK

OH NO!! Like my trucks and cars, only OEM filters go on. No aftermarket cheapos for me, Except my John Deere X500, I found out that the JD Green filter is off the exact same line as Mobil 1, right down to the part number stamped on the case. If I can't get the JD I know the Mobil 1 will work...

    Diesel fuel

Did you completely flush the fuel system? Sounds like residual gas is still in the mix, and gas does not compress, it goes off prematurely and can make it run as you described. If it continues to do this, there could be injector damage or pump damage, but fingers crossed, only a one time thing.

    Sticker SHOCK

I needed an oil filter for my B2410 for its 500 hour service, already have the other filters on had. Thought, while I'm here, my new L4060HSTC has ~ 40 hours on it, might as well pick up the filters for it too. One HST filter was $56, the other $78! WOW, I was not expecting that!!! I know...

Lifting 5gal cans of diesel fuel a problem

Man, I tell you what. That 30 gallon rolling tank I was given. I think I figured out what the pump was supposed to be, a rotary crank like that pictured above with a 3/4 NPT inlet to screw it to the pipe. then it has a 2" filler neck, and a tank level indicator. It is NOT DOT approved to be...

    In market for budget welder

Look into a Clarke 180EN or whatever may have replaced it. I have one, it comes with the gas regulator and can use either gas or flux core. Has 6 power ranges and wirespeed, along with a tweco style gun. It uses 220v, but does weld up to 1/2" if beveled properly. I made this using that welder...

    In market for budget welder

I have a Clarke 180EN I Flux core weld with. It takes a little practice getting the settings right, has 6 power levels and wire speed, but once you get them set, it welds easy as pie. I think there is a lot more to learn with stick welding than MIG. With MIG, wire speed is the most important...

Lifting 5gal cans of diesel fuel a problem

I just point out what can be found in the interwebs. RDS does not show up in searches. So the tank you are using has the DOT approved rollover venting? Thats all I am asking because it looks exactly like the tank I have which is not DOT approved to transfer gasoline.

Not a tractor but I found it in the barn

Weigh it, find out what the scrap per pound is and double it.

Lifting 5gal cans of diesel fuel a problem

Actually the differences are not something you can actually see as they are internal to the tank. The only tanks sold in the US that are legal for transporting more than 8 gallons are Transfer Flow tanks. They have the proper venting and roll over valves required. Everything else is pretty...

Thats a good setup. Build a small platform for it from 2x4 that you can lift with the bucket, save the back.

L4060 - Recommendation for rear grass - brush cutter

No kidding. Been trying to find a low priced tedder around here, those that are low need work, anything new that is reasonable it too far away. I may just bite the bullet and get the 2 YO new one that has faded paint and been sitting outside 2 years.

Lifting 5gal cans of diesel fuel a problem

Yeah, sorry about the long winded reply, Reason I asked if it was rated for gas was because of the above that I posted, not for anything else.

Lifting 5gal cans of diesel fuel a problem

I found a doc from 2009 that breaks it down nicely. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwjgjfPPiKH4AhUZX80KHXSrByQQFnoECC8QAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.fs.fed.us%2Ft-d%2Ffueltran%2Fdocuments%2Fpdf%2Fpdf09512826dpi72.pdf&usg=AOvVaw0_q7qwYOE8NZSurr_iSfBR None of...

Lifting 5gal cans of diesel fuel a problem

Well, deep dive and one will see what the difference is. Diesel is combustible. Throw a match in it and the match will go out. Gasoline is a Flammable, toss a match at it and it explodes. A tank rated for combustibles have simple vent systems since Diesel doesn't evaporate like Gasoline does...

Lifting 5gal cans of diesel fuel a problem

The pump on a 50 gallon transfer tank is probably the best thing I put together in a long time. Used it 3 times already to fill both tractors, and even popping the hood to hook up the power and all that, done in minutes what took 10-15 and struggled to not spill anything. Sure beats hauling 5...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Finished the digging yesterday with the Lil Mule, and got the new hydrant hooked up and buried, then got the L4060 out to backfill behind the barn. Those LED worklights I installed worked very well, the tractor though, not so much. I would have thought being a heavier, more powerful tractor it...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Finally got around to moving the hydrant from the field to the front of the barn. Wish I had a smaller bucket, the 16" on takes too long to trench with, but gets the job done any way. I have about 25' of trench left and locate the water line without breaking it and dig around it enough to get...

L4060 - Recommendation for rear grass - brush cutter

I run a 4' King Kutter with mine, it is for my B2410, but works really well with the L4060, but you could go to a 5' one lie this. I have a few KK implements, 6' finish mower, many many hours on it, 5' tiller, and a few others. There is always the Woods stuff too, just depends on how much you...

Board is fried, being multi layer, its can't be bread boarded either. There is literally a gouge in the board between three transistors.
