Stump removers, What have you used

I was looking to see if there was one at a rental for skid steers and such that I could rent to use on my L4060, but no dice. After lookig arud I have a feeling I would actually be better off buying one as I have a LOT of stumps and stuff to remove, not just the couple I was thinking of. Is...

    3 point not raising

I found the problem. Wait until you see how easy it was to get this messed up. Inlet hose is orange, that one I got right or nothing would have worked. PowerBeyond is Green hose. Outlet is grey. left to right is supposed to be Orange, Grey Green. Looks correct, see the green? Pull back...

    3 point not raising

Watch it be as simple as having the two lines crossed at the frame. Going to get it in the garage in a bit to verify.

    3 point not raising

OK, I didn't put the tractor type in and just noticed it shows my B2410. I also have an L4060, should have noted it. I installed the L2272 kit. I am going though everything at the moment and can't see that I missed anything. I am beginning to think that the power beyond is not getting back...

    3 point not raising

OK, I am not sure if it is something with the valve assembly, or what, but discovered today that the 3 point is not raising up. I installed the 3rd Function, quick attach remote kit over the weekend which is all working properly, but now the 3 point doesn't go up. Does someone have a...

L2272 3rd/QAR kit install How To

Continued Next, pull the QAR hoes out until you find the tape on each line. These are your marks for attaching to the hold down clip. This gives a pre-determined length to allow full movement. Install the cover to the back of the QA frame. On mine I had to beat a few brackets into...

L2272 3rd/QAR kit install How To

Final installation is on the loader itself. There are 3 separate hoses to run through the frame, so first step is to remove the covers on the right side of the loader (looking forward from drivers seat), then feed the spiral wound fittings through, and then each third function line. Lift the...

L2272 3rd/QAR kit install How To

Next up are the electrical connections. I left the seat out still until I was completely done as it gave me a lot of working area to get these harnesses routed and secured. Pull the rubber handle off the 3pt lever, remove the top cover, disconnect the lighter socket harness and the PTO...

L2272 3rd/QAR kit install How To

Day 2. Ran out and got a wrench that fits and got started on the cab. First thing I discovered, that seat is freaking HEAVY!!! Once I got it up and locked I found there is just not enough room to work, nor get the leverage needed to crack the lines, so I removed the seat. two bolts at the...

L2272 3rd/QAR kit install How To

Next up, there are 2 solid lines and one hose. These attach between the valve assembly and the frame bracket from step 1. Tighten the bulkhead nuts with a 15/16 wrench, if you have two even better, or use a crescent, but do this before attaching the lines, or you might have trouble getting...

L2272 3rd/QAR kit install How To

The first step is to remove 2 bolts from the frame where the loader frame bolts to and install the bracket that supports the 3 lines from under the seat to the valve assembly. I found that they were all loose and I had to realign and tighten up the top bolt. Reuse the washers and nut...

L2272 3rd/QAR kit install How To

The kit finally arrived last week and Friday I got started installing it. Had to stop at a point since I needed a wrench I didn't have. This is a complete walk through of all the components. I will be posting the varius steps in separate posts due to the amount of photos I took.

Dealer warns front axle will wear out if left in 4x4

I rarely use 4WD because I don't have hills, but when I am cutting the grass alongside the road I sometimes need to use it, but it tears the crap out of the ground if it is soft like it is right now from all the rains. Will it wear, Yep, but will it wear faster using it, Nope. Guess what...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Yesterday I started the install of the 3rd function and quick attach remote. Got the unit mounted, and somehow in the process of moving the fitting bracket for the loader from the inside, to the outside where the manual shows it, the bucket tilt seized up and tilt stopped functioning. I could...

Dealer warns front axle will wear out if left in 4x4

Was going to say the exact same thing. Tire wear and front drive shaft binding will be the most notable wear items.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Sure, as long as you don't get motion sickness! It powered it fine, but the ram motions really move the tractor back and forth. If working flat ground, the B2410 can actually get the job done, but not something I would do a lot of, who knows what can get shook apart from all the motions.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Well, actually I did bale with it! Hooked it up to a NH 273 baler last year before I got the L4060. I don't have the correct hydraulic control on the B2410 or I would pull the MoCo as well.

    fuel costs..

Prices are going back up. Last week, $4.34, yesterday, $4.46. Today $4.69. This is WITH my discount card! I may wait until after the holiday weekend before filling my Transfer tank, but will probably need to put some in my F-450 to get to work on Thursday.

    What filter is this?

I talked to service today and he couldn't pull up anything specific for my Serial regarding the EGR, so said if it comes up again to call them right away, if not, whenever I can bring it in they can hook up a computer to it. One of these days I will get a large enough trailer to transport it...
