BX saves time and my back

Thanks. The property is coming along. I have been very happy with my BX. Cleared a bunch of brush and small trees. Was able to bulldoze larger trees I cut down into the burn pile in one piece instead of having to cut then up and haul them in my trailer. Brought in and spread a bunch of rock for...

BX saves time and my back

It might be something like that. I am surrounded by farm land and mine was farmed at some point in the past.

BX saves time and my back

I have no idea what the previous owners were doing at my property (bought it a little over a year ago). I have one area that looked like an over grown dirt mound. I started getting in to it and it turned out to be rocks, rocks and more rocks. They had been there long enough that they had sunk...

BX saves time and my back

Just a quick project this morning. Last fall before I had purchased the BX I had removed an old flagpole base in the middle of the yard. It left a fairly large deep hole, so I rolled over some big rocks to cover it and prevent anyone from stepping in it. I got it done, but it was a bit of a pain...

    BX2200 Stump removal tips?

I am thinking this is the route I will go if I can get down below ground level to cut it off. I have it dug down, but I need to get rid of all the dirt to expose the roots. Hoping the pressure washer idea will work.

    BX2200 Stump removal tips?

I do have a pressure washer I could attack it with. I was trying to come up with a way to expose the roots and stump more. Thanks

    BX2200 Stump removal tips?

When I purchased my property about a year and half ago the previous owners had a tree that they had cut off about 10-15 ft up. I am assuming t was too big for them to actually cut down. There were cuts at the base, but none very deep. It had been sitting like that for a while because it had...

    BX2200 BXpanded pressure tester issue

BXpanded sent me the male nipple for free. Finally got around to testing the pressure. It was low and running about 1600psi. Used a few of the shims included in the kit and bumped it up to 2000psi. Gonna keep an eye on FEL hoses with the increased pressure. I am thinking with the increased...

    BX2200 Throttle Cable replacement tips

K2561-45150. $25 if I remember correctly. Replacing it is super easy. It took me about 10-15 minutes. There are adjusters at the end of the cable sheathing on each end. Threaded with 2 nuts. Each end is secured to the throttle and IP by a cotter pin. I had to remove the grommet that it runs...

    BX2200 Throttle Cable replacement tips

Hi all, I just ordered a replacement throttle cable for my BX2200 and will be replacing it in couple of days. It looks like a fairly easy job, but for those that have done it are there any tips or gotcha's I should know? THanks

    BX22 intermittently starts

I used this as my guide. It is from another forum. There are probably ones on this forum that outline it as well. Starter Relay Install

    BX22 intermittently starts

I have a BX2200 that had very similar behavior, minus all the power going out. When I would get just a click, I could always jump the starter. Some of the older tractors start to build up a lot of voltage drop in the starter circuit and it will no longer activate the relay on the starter. I...

Did anyone go from a zero turn to a Kubota BX for mowing?

Okay. Running them offset to to almost double the pass width would really cut time. I only have about 2-3 acres I mow so I will just stick with my 60" MMM

Did anyone go from a zero turn to a Kubota BX for mowing?

Just curious. How would towing a Swisher behind the tractor cut mowing time? Are you able to off set the Swisher so that you have a larger overall deck width when combined with the 60" deck on the tractor?

Did anyone go from a zero turn to a Kubota BX for mowing?

Definitely wouldn't be apposed to a zero turn and a tractor. Gotta get a barn built first though. I am already running low on storage space. Time wise I have quite a bit of just open space that I mow, so I don't spend a lot of time having to turn/go around things. In my experience the zero turn...

Did anyone go from a zero turn to a Kubota BX for mowing?

I have mowed with both. At my previous house that had a 1 acre lawn I used a Simplicity zero turn. It did a great job mowing and was faster mowing than the BX/MMM I have now but it was a one trick pony. My new place is 5 acres and has a lot more upkeep/projects than just mowing and weed eating...

    BX2200 BXpanded pressure tester issue

Just to make sure I understand what you are saying. If I don't create a loop for the hydraulic fluid by using a T adapter to put the gauge in the loop I will be dead heading the hydraulic system. This causes the pressure to build until the relief valve opens. What damage can occur if the...

    BX2200 BXpanded pressure tester issue

Thanks. I emailed BXpanded and they are sending me a male adapter to replace the female that is on the gauge free of charge. In my email I had sent them the same pictures I posted here and was told to test the pressure at the port you described. I was happy with the service I received from...
