    Does Pump Diesel Contain Additives?

Former diesel tech, general tinkerer, and someone who drives a diesel daily: it depends. Good quality fuel from a station in newer equipment needs nothing generally. It isn't a bad idea to run an additive in newer common rail equipment to add lubricant to the fuel due to the extreme pressure...

    M7060 Rear Ag Tire Puncture

Tubes are a permanent solution IF yuu need it. I've got an old tractor on my property now that if I could date the tires I'm sure they are atleast 30 years old with 10" cracks in the side walls from sitting that still hold air thanks to the tubes. All the old tractors run tubes. The tires would...

    Leaving Tractor at other property

I don't have a good answer for you on anti theft because there really isn't one. But on transport it would be cheap and easy to rent a Uhaul for an hour and then return it. Rent it again to take it home. Those places are scattered around like roaches. I've yet to need any of their rentals and...

    Cleaning and Maintenance on deck

I wouldn't wire wheel. You don't want to remove the paint if you can help it. They make poly wire wheels you could try but rust is always what kills decks first, if they are serviceable anyway. Keep bare steel to a minimum.

    Cleaning and Maintenance on deck

To my knowledge there isn't an easy way other than cleaning between mowings. Once the grass builds up and hardens chemicals aren't really gonna penetrate enough to make a difference. If the deck has one of those hose fittings clean it between mows. Bonus if you're one of the very few with a hot...

    this really happened

Definitely keep them to sell with the tractor. Tires aren't cheap, and people are inherently lazy. If you look around online tractors with turf tires are usually listed for less money and still take longer to sell. To say the number of people that want turfs over other tires are a minority is an...

    Antigel additive.

Funny enough, before his video came out, I already ran the winning combo: I run power service in the winter, the white bottle. I drive a diesel truck all winter. We also get well into the negatives and have winterized diesel but at -40 it isn't enough. The first winter I had my diesel truck and...

    2502 (later turbo) vs 3902

Just tossing in my $.02, I went with an lx2610, a bit lighter but more feature oriented version of the l2501. I have done so as part of a hopefully not longer than 10 year plan. A backhoe was not in the budget upfront but will be purchased as soon as its paid off. My plan is to eventually...

YES!!!...Just buy that damn thing....One more good reason to buy a back hoe......

Or just the first day if you use too much. 🤣

    Tractor operating for new owner

We have the same tractor so I'll give my $.02. Mind you I haven't owned it for more than a few months, but I am very familiar with a large variety of equipment, diesels and hydraulics in general. Engine speed varies depending on task, I prefer low speeds just for less wear and tear and it also...

YES!!!...Just buy that damn thing....One more good reason to buy a back hoe......

I think the primary benefit to a backhoe vs a mini excavator is the lack of maintenance. Don't get me wrong if someone wanted to give me one I'd take a mini but I don't have enough work to justify buying one. I'm not sure I'd get a tank of fuels use out of it per year.

YES!!!...Just buy that damn thing....One more good reason to buy a back hoe......

I want a BH so bad, but its not in the budget. If someone wants to give me one I'll definitely take it! I'd have let each kid have a turn before I went after that pinata with the BH. Could have bet the grandkids all the candy that you could crack it open with just your "thumb". 🤣

    Headlight upgrade M8580

Alrighty. So the part number for your light bulb and not kubotas number is 6260ba. That number should be good for every major manufacturer whether it be sylvania, wagner, eiko. Of course that's just what I've found poking around. However, that is not a common bulb at all. Which means virtually...

    Headlight upgrade M8580

Assuming this is correct: https://www.messicks.com/ku/85880 Then that part number is just for the housing. Specifically the manufacturer part number not Kubotas. I got a bored so I did some poking around, and I don't see a better after market housing. However thay doesn't mean nothing can be...

    2021 LX2610 pricing & Loader/Bucket identification Help

Personally I don't think it would be worth it to me. While yes, a new tractor with a loader is considerably more expensive and this one has low hours, that pin on bucket just isn't worth the headache. An adapter to ssqa isn't cheap, nor is a replacement bucket. Plus if you were to pay someone to...

BX to LX — Different World

Oh no that box was full. The septic tank is in the way of backing the truck up to the back door of my house, which is the larger door and close to the kitchen. The alternative is the front door where id have to struggle to get the fridge through and probably scratch it. Then through the house to...

BX to LX — Different World

Did this just become a sxs bragging thread? YES! I love a good competition. You call that a load? Now thats a load! I kid though. I actually bought my little Yamaha on a whim. Picked it up from a Copart auction, that I bid on assuming I wouldn't win. Not sure how it got there, they said...

    The Break In Period

Oh god work machines? Yeah I spent a stint doing repairs on those before I switched to stationary equipment. Which is still really bad but the mobile equipment is the stuff of nightmares. Just to give yall a taste my first week in we get a call for a jump on one of the loaders right in the...

    Larger tires on lx2610

I did a ton of research on my lx2610 and the differences between its sub models, the l series and the b series. From my understanding the larger tires fit all 3 sub models of the tractor. However, the mid mount pto attachments are aligned around the smaller tires. So you wouldn't be able to...
