What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Thanks for the tip... would not have thought to do that. @$#@$%& mice!! They have taken residence in my chipper, truck, cars previously. I have a variety of traps and poisons set up. I have the most success with peanut butter as bait and the old fashioned wooden spring traps. Sticky traps work...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Yes! It pains me to leave it outside but carpenter friend expects we can finish lean-to by Thursday. Then move the splitters, generator, chipper, etc. out of shed and new baby gets to be covered and dry.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

No worries. Those are just braces to hold the wall up. Plenty more rafters, collar/rafter ties, purlins, joist hangers and roof panels to go yet. Was happy to make some progress before the snow flies tonight.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I didn't do anything on my tractor today but I did do something for my tractor. Started to frame lean-to move stuff out of shed to make room for the new baby.

    Tractor "school"

Thanks gang. As always, great advice all around. I appreciate the depth and breadth of knowledge of this forum's members. I certainly understand recommendations to avoid hills but my NH woodlot is straight uphill both ways ;). Backing up hills makes sense but driveway is long so not practical in...

    Tractor "school"

Ok, I know this is a question that will get me razzed. After seeing multiple reports. posts and pics discussing/showing various tractor accidents, I wonder if there any tractor training schools or courses that cover basic safety and operating procedures. I have reviewed multiple videos and...

    Keeping the cab clean

We salute you Jay as a real man. As for me, I'm tired of having the wind shift when I'm snow blowing and pelting me with stinging shards of ice. I look like the abominable snowman; frostbitten, wet and cold. First winter with a cab. Looking forward to it. I will surrender my man card if...

    Kubota’s dirty little secret!

Perhaps a bit off topic but has anyone used the 3 pt hitch to SSQA adapters that are available? Unless I am misunderstanding something, seems like it would be possible to use my SSQA compatible FEL bucket or pallet forks on the rear 3 pt hitch when my front end has the sub frame and snowblower...

Can I Attach a Bolt-On Cutting Edge To This BX Series Bucket (Newbie Question)

Agree with rec for Piranha bar (come in toothed or straight edge configuration) from Bxpanded. I have one of each, Easy to install by drilling 2 holes, one on each side of bucket. Solid construction, prompt shipment. Good luck.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Loving the new tractor. Topped off, leveled and compacted a pad for my lean-to addition to the barn. Newly installed Piranha bar on the bucket works wonders on the frozen 3/4 ledge stone. Hoping to lay down PT sill beams next day or two before snow flies again this coming weekend.

    Recs on ballast

Thanks for the Messick's table. Much appreciated. My tires are 17.5 x24 so about 900lbs for the pair of loaded tires. Loader/ forks lift about 2000 lbs. So for balance, if I am understanding everyone's advice properly, I need to add about 800-1100 lbs of rear ballast if filling loader/forks to...

    Recs on ballast

Thanks Runs... I like the shelter and concrete floor. Don't have that on my lot yet. Is that versatube? We are clearing this winter in anticipation of building an equipment shed this coming year. Quickly ran put of room in 14x24 barn/shed. My new rule is estimate space needed, then multiply by...

    Recs on ballast

Thanks RC. Yes on the being prepared to drop load. Learned that on my BX and that was what I did to stabilize situation. Was just surprised that it happened. I had grabbed load in center. Given leftward tilt of hill, I re-grabbed load left of center to shift weight to right and that did the...

    Recs on ballast

Thanks guys. Terrain is fully wooded except for driveway with steep inclines. Not much room to maneuver yet but will be starting to clear future homesite at top of hill once ground freezes solid. Still too many days above freezing... muddy mess. Merry Xmas!
