Here is a video of the leak. You can see it dripping from the bottom bolt of the starter and the cable holder on that bolt.

I have looked at all the injectors, lines from each injector. The head is dry as is the back side of the head. What I don't understand is that the flywheel is wet with fuel.

Pete, I had to have the same cylinder on me BX22 repaired. I took it to a local hydraulic shop and the guy told me if the ram wasn't bent or scored the repair was $90 u.s. I got lucky and that is all it was. Rent, I've never done a cylinder before. I'm curious, whats the pot of boiling water for?

I would use the rear tow point. Most ring gear and pinions are designed to pull hard in one direction. If you pull hard in the opposite direction than they are designed you may have problems. I've seen several times when someone chained off on the front of a pull truck and some tractors then...

Continued the quest of replacing leaking hoses on BT600 backhoe on my BX22. The dipper cylinder is leaking out the ram so I've got both the boom and dipper cylinders off the unit. Boom cylinder for hoses and dipper for ram packing.

Thanks everyone....I got it figured out. Out of curiosity I went and plundered around in the barn of the previous owner of the tractor and found the knob on a shelf!! No clue why it was not on the tractor but it fits snugly and turns the rod.
