Is the rule of thumb, "if you can reverse up the hill, you can drive up the hill"?

Wow! That is one scary slope. And I thought this dune hill at Silver Lake State Park in my truck was crazy. Goes to show you “one man’s comfort is another’s crisis”

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Great day in SW MI to get out of office and do some property maintenance. Started the day fluffing mulch at boat landing/park, we had almost 2,000 CY placed last year after raising tree canopy. Budget doesn’t allow for more so put the DD tiller to work.. Then onto drive and parking lot work...

    Someone mentioned Side Car Flip

He’s helped me out twice - backhoe tip over and recently on modifying a backhoe bucket. I was set to make a trip over his way but my local fab shop did the work. If I remember right 🤔 he said he missed some of us here and this forum but don’t tell him I said that 🤫

I think he's mellowed out some - he's still on TBN.

Lifting 5gal cans of diesel fuel a problem

I like this system with rotary pump that will pump 8 GPM. Only problem is lifting 10 gallons of diesel into SUV is a chore. Flo-Fast is the brand.

Backhoe tips and tricks (asking not giving)

I put in N and set parking brake (rear wheels have brakes only). To move myself I lift the back a little higher and push myself back or pull myself forward. You can also change your “attack” angle slightly if needed. If I don’t want to move I roll the FEL bucket and dig it into ground a little...

I'm with you on the bad Grand L seat. I'm upgrading to air ride but it sure isn't cheap!

Another Newbie Contemplating a New Purchase

I have the GL4060 and it does most everything I need, except more FEL lift capacity. It was on the dealers lot in spring 2020 and took about 2 months to get everything I bought. Things are really tight now so if you have a minimum and maximum you might get lucky and find something somewhere...

using the grapple or backhoe to remove brush

BH w thumb gets my vote. I plucked out a whole bunch of sumac last year that way. Had to move around + got chased off the BH once by yellow jackets.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Yes, after grinding off spatter from the removals that’s the only product they had close to orange. I plan to paint over it but I’m assuming it will quickly come off during use.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Tired of leakdown on BH bucket so chained it up, same as stabilizers last year. Gotta find some 5/16 chain sleeve. Seems to hold fine, we’ll see when bouncing down the road. Got the flat face bucket back, just need to paint over the epoxy. Oh, and don’t hate on me - emailed with Flip...

    She Did it Again!

Yeah, she’s taken care of me and raised the kids - never missed a ball game or school event, all while running her own small business. She’s made all the sacrifices and still manages to laugh with me, even at her expense.

    She Did it Again!

you hit it on the head. I spend alot of time at our local jewelry store. I even get to surprise her once in awhile. Us men are soooooo lucky we have spouses that put up with us.

    Dash Cam's

You can add the rear view to the Garmin app. I bought this one because it’s so basic and simple. I do not have it wired to park mode where if you’re car is off and gets bumped it will record. I added the magnetic mount and located the best place on windshield. I also have an adapter for wife’s...

    She Did it Again!

1st mow of the season and the wife (who won’t let me mow) came in a little fast when she was done! Hit my bucket that was in driveway, yikes 😳 You can hear me at the end saying I wish the guys could see this - then I remember I have a Ring camera 🎥 Here’s last years “accident” I sure do...

    Dash Cam's

I 2nd the Garmin Mini - I have it plugged into my rear view mirror. Here’s an idea of the quality. 1080P @ 30fps. I braked hard enough that it saved the video automatically.
