    3 point hitch won't lower

I would only take my suggestion as a "if everything else has failed" as I only have ~10hrs experience with a BX (15yrs on a TG1860), but many years on cars and bikes. ie: I don't even have enough time with real tractors to be dangerous !!!

    3 point hitch won't lower

I could be waaaay off base, but I seem to vaguely recall my sales guy telling me to adjust that knob only when my 3-point was in the fully UP position. (I could also lock the 3pt up as well, if I wanted to) That was months ago, so, I could be way off base. Also, it's a BX not an LX I am...

    3 point hitch won't lower

Hmmm. Well, I'm a newbie to the real Kubota tractor world, but that strikes me as odd. On the BX it moves more than 5% Other more experienced fellas will chime in on that fact. Good luck sir.

    tg1860g"breaking belts"

Don't mow in the rain or an especially wet lawn or..................(you guessed it!) you'll break a mower drive belt. Have had my TG1860 (diesel) probably closing in on 15yrs now or so and popped a lot of belts in my 500+ hours that I've put on it. Machine has nearly 1000hrs on it. 2? years...

Used or new BX 1880, older 2360, or just wait

...duly noted and even though we aren't "that" far away, our winter conditions are not identical to your winter conditions. Also, my driveway is 220' long + a small turnabout + parking area, and it's out in the open. I';ve been doing this particular driveway 17 years with walk-behinds. I...

Used or new BX 1880, older 2360, or just wait

I was in the same boat as you some months back. After much humming and hawwing, I went with the BX2380 (Bx1880 almost the same beast) and I splurged on a K-connect front-mount snowblower. In Atlantic Canada, on a large hill where I am, we get lots of blowing snow. The snowblower was a lot of...

    Solar Trickle Charger?

Your battery maintainers (presumably) run off of 120vac. You'll need a large-ish DC-AC inverter after your panels and then a large 12vdc battery to power the inverter. Very lossy way to create 12vdc

Kubota BX2380 Switch does not stop engine.

Probably not YOUR problem(because you were in the woods, yanked wires are highly suspect), but something kinda similar happened to me on my TG1860 a few years ago. Nothing worked to shut the tractor off. I pulled every fuse and connection I could think of and the key was (ultimately) out of...

    Solar Trickle Charger?

This won't exactly pertain to your question, but I have a couple 100w panels facing south that keep a big deep cycle battery charged and even in the winter it keeps the battery topped up. Angle is important. I use it from time to time lightly, just to insure it all works. During Hurricane...

    TH1860 Diesel Hydrostatic replacement?

Scott, Might I suggest you edit your equipment model #'s in your profile to reflect the actual model # you have AND Think about starting a new thread with a more suitable subject line....to your current situation? Perhaps you'll catch someone's attention? Sure couldn't hurt. Like maybe...

    TH1860 Diesel Hydrostatic replacement?

I am sorry to hear that. Wish I had more tractor-related mechanical experience to help you out. From what I "gather", there aren't many TG1860's around (or still around might be a better way to phrase it) so the experts will be less numerous than for say, a BX tractor. I've only seen one...

    TH1860 Diesel Hydrostatic replacement?

and I feel I have to repeat that I am not a mechanic and have no basis for what I did other than someone, somewhere advised me of this the basically back where I was at where you were/are at now. I had nothing to lose as I was unwilling to invest many thousands into an old mower with 500hrs on...
