Top Link is hard to turn ... what lubricant do you use?

Mine got bent where it attaches to the tractor. It worked fine when I took the bushhog off. I had a potato plow on it and set it to minimum length. I plowed into something hard while digging potatos and it stalled the tractor briefly. I got an aftermarket replacement cat 1 link at the local...

    Back in the Day

We got a good deal on a new 1990 Sentra, bare bones. No power steering, 4 wheel drum brakes, no radio, manual windows, no A/C, 1.6L 5 speed manual transmission coupe. I put a Pioneer Supertuner Stereo and some Jensen speakers after some tweaking of rear parcel structure. My wife has never...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I bush hogged a meadow used for erosion control. It might make a nice hayfield some day. Right now, it's a narly combination of several kinds of thistles, broom grass, ironweed, milkweed and vines. I had to drop to 2nd gear to avoid overloading the bush hog.

Raise your hand if you've ever hit your hand with a hatchet making kindling.....

My brother was visiting us in Michigan a few years back. We were getting ready to grill out some pork steaks. I had some hickory chunks that needed to be split for the grill and he split a few before he hit his thumb and wound up in the ER. He was using a hatchet.

    Overheating problems

No or little coolant flow through the radiator. Bad water pump, plugged radiator tubes, or stuck thermostat.

    It's Propane Time....

We are paying $2.19 this year, down from $2.49 last year. We use propane for backup heat, hot water, and we have a propane stove.

    More A/C questions

Before replacing the thermostat (temp sensor), check if there is a resistance value that corresponds with the actual temperature. With tractor shut off, check at temp sensor leads and at other end of sensor wire harness. If sensor resistance corresponds to an actual temperature that is in the...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I remember telling my Dad that "I don't know how". His reply was that I will never learn any younger.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

The top link is set to its shortest length. The TSC middle buster attack angle isn't that good with my 3 point links. A shorter link for that implement would help, but the weight is free.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

We dug our first batch of potatos. Added some weight to the implement this year. Works better.

I have never received the first Covid test. Covid did show up on an antibodies test I requested.

    Implements for new L2502 - Rotary Cutter/Tiller

You should be good with the 5' bushhog. Some on here use a 6'-er with the L2501/2, probably lighter duty mowing.

    Mower Deck Bogs Down

I had a similar issue on a mower deck. The tensioner pulley spring attachment to the deck (a small hole in the deck) wore due to the spring rubbing inside the hole. The attachment hole became oblong and spring tension decreased.

Funny things AFTER you get married?

I shut the hot water off while she was in the shower a couple of times. One time, I emptied a baby powder container over the shower door. She was a white mess. One morning, she put a life like rubber snake in the shower. I saw it first thing in the morning and shot it in the head with a pellet gun.

Z231KW-42 - Increasing vibration problem causing deck pulley bearings to wear out prematurely

This sounds like a "beat" frequency. There are a couple of rotating parts where the vibration/vibration order are almost lined up. When the parts vibrations or vibrations order line up, you get a "beat*. http://www.vibrationschool.com/mans/Plots/SPlots21.htm

This is what happens when you don't know sh!t about machinery.

I recently acquired a similar mower. The front left axel was bent the same way. I don't know how this could happen. I heated it up and got it close to straight.
