What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

We had a lot of wind in central ny last night. I didn't have any problem but neighbors in their 70's whom my wife is friends thru facebook ask if we were OK this morning. They weren't, as they had a pine tree near the house break off about 10 ft from the ground and it hit the house. It was about...

    Barely 80 hours and

You are right that there are things that are more reliable they are not all bad. I can remember the days of cars with points and carbs and the new ones are way better starting then the old days. My Kubota was a planned retirement purchase . I get frustrated with the secrets of some of it and...

    Barely 80 hours and

I can't say it any better and the reason why I got the L2501DT. I am 68 and figure it was going to be the only new tractor I would buy. I do all my own repairs and wanted no part of the smog control or a HST. I have had enough of for example my wife's forester with 100k dealing with failing...

Grill Guard - Simple & Cheap?

Someone else here suggested expanded metal at Home depot that was between 25-30 dollars for a sheet big enough to do mine. I made a frame out of some bed frame angle and welded to the back of that. Then drilled some holes thru to bolt it to the oem guard. The object in the middle with the bolts...

    BH77 not attaching properly

I share your phrase there, I am always trying to have a backup plan! Especially when the outcome may be in doubt. Like a plumbing repair. Bill

    L2501 3PH stabilizer problem

Ok I went to measure mine and got the same as you at the wheel rim edge, 31.5. My 30 measurement is at the fattest part if the tire between them.

    L2501 3PH stabilizer problem

The distance between the tires at sidewall, at the back of the tractor is where it is easiest to do.

    L2501 3PH stabilizer problem

I have the same tractor and tires as yours NvRudder. I just measured a bit over 30" between. The wheels say titan EW and this #0319939 then 19.5x12.25. Are the OP's wheels the same? Maybe not the same wheels or dealer got them mixed between two tractors?

Loosening lock nut on steering tie rod

Sometimes I use the method of holding another heavier hammer on the opposite side of the nut, then hit sharply on the facing side. Like what you do to loosen the taper on a tie rod or ball joint. In a tight area I have used a steel wood splitting wedge as the back up instead of another hammer...

    Accident To Share

I was on call for work for about 23 years every 5th week 24/7. I had a pager then cell phone. I absolutely hated to hear the phone ring.. But I have adjusted to using one for my own needs and safety. I do have fun with the scam callers though! Bill

    Accident To Share

Yes I am retired and cut my firewood mostly alone. My wife always makes me check to have my phone with me and I only do certain things when she is home so I have a backup plan. I can't wear safety shoes because of toe problems but never work with anything less than leather shoes. Not a sneaker...

    Accident To Share

I came close to doing that changing from bucket to forks the first time. Since then I only release the latches with shut off and the implement slightly off the ground. If I am removing the grapple I shut off the engine then turn on the electric to the 3rd function and press the 2 buttons and it...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I put my counter weight and 3pt hitch on for the winter after tacking the backhoe off. I see my hose is a tight fit with the hitch too. I bought a couple extra couplings maybe install one and use a smaller hose when the backhoe is off. Don't know yet but maybe your idea would work. Bill

    B2410 Rear Hydraulics install

I have used some of the angles that are about 1/4 thick for mounting some on my 8N. They are used with kindorf or unistrut . the stuff you mount pipe or conduit on. Lowes and Home depot carry it. they already have about 1/2" holes in them. Bill

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Yesterday, an un-named delivery truck was backing into my driveway. It is a bit over 300' and slight curve. We had a bit of snow but not enough to plow as the ground is not froze. Somehow, I figure he was only watching his left mirror he went into the slight ditch on the right because of the...

L3400 FEL side mount custom build

What brand and model is the blue tractor? I like what I think is the self leveling function with the second bar above the loader arms. I have thought about making such a thing for my LA525. I believe there is a mod for I think is a 534 loader. bill

Fixing thread for hydrolic filter B7000

Yes I see that after I posted and looked up some info. I used to work in industry and we had a lot german machinery with din plumbing. We had a lot of the right taps but often it was a drain plug that was messed up like this job. sometimes a rush to get it back up and running and we would do...
