    B2601 Headlight bulb change

That was my thought, to reduce the headlight draw so I could add something higher up. I would work on the light bar install today but I have to drive to Connecticut to pick up a dog we are rescuing. About 4.5 hrs each way. Looks like rain all day but better than snow off the great lakes for a...

    B2601 Headlight bulb change

That is what I was doing, I wanted to verify the type and then I ordered some LEDs. I was in the woods last week retrieving something as it was getting dark. It was the first time in 2 years I had it out in the dark woods. So I also have a LED light bar that came yesterday to mount too. Bill

    B2601 Headlight bulb change

I don't know if they are the same as my l2501 but i tried to get mine out last weekend to see what ones they were to order some. A real pain to get out and harder yet to get back in. First I had to get that large rubber boot rolled back and then you can get the socket out to release the bulb...

    Lunging or Jumping

Don't know if it is any help to you but, I had a car years ago that acted like that and it turned out to be the clutch disc itself. Some of the spring pieces in the middle surrounding the hub were broken and lay in the inspection cover of the bell housing. Bill

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

What kind of logs are those? Don't see anything like those ends around here in my woods. Bill

    3 point log grapple

Interesting linkage, It took me a minute of studying it to get it but then it made good sense. I like the way you think! Bill

Kubota tractor overheating when fan replaced to electric. (Kubota G1900S (D722))

Kepner-Tregoe's Problem Solving & Decision Making . I took this course in my work and the best part of it in problem solving was, What was recently changed? You took off the mechanical fan and replaced it with an electric one that wasn't designed for the application. In addition there is a...

Adapting SSQA forks for use on 3PH quicktach

OK, I couldn't resist, I ordered a set of those $81 pieces that NIW posted. I figure working with my top and tilt and forks on the back of the Kubota I could have the grapple on front carry twice the firewood logs out of the woods each trip. Bill

Adapting SSQA forks for use on 3PH quicktach

I was looking at the $81 parts. I all ready have a trailer adapter I figured I could add it to that. But that amazon one is a great idea of how to make. Bill

Adapting SSQA forks for use on 3PH quicktach

I think this is the better approach and would allow the OP to bring back either front attachment on the front or back without switching. For me it could be maybe a sudden rain shower so I want to get back to the garage. I was thinking of something like this my self. It would also let me use the...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I put a piece on my virnig that is 1/4 thick and full of 1/2" holes. I just didn't like that wide open hole and I had a piece of that steel. I drilled and tapped 4 hole top and bottom to hold it. Bill

    Turnbuckle sway link

I used that repair style link because it fit on the turnbuckle loop best. I looked at some small clevises but found them too sloppy. I took the one end with me to the hardware store. Bill I found a picture of the one I got at tractor supply. It turns out it is for 3/8" chain, I thought it was...

    Turnbuckle sway link

I made a change to my turnbuckle links to facilitate changing something on the 3pt hitch. I know they make the better ones for about $200 but I don't use mine a lot as I have the 8N for attachments I bought a couple repair links I think were 1/2" but the pin hole only measures about .49 so I am...

    Adding weight to Brushcutter

Well a short explanation, don't want to rob the thread, The shaft coming out is close to 5/8" so I bought some split shaft collars. I welded 2 of them to a piece of 1/8 angle iron I think was 1"x1". Welded about 3/8 x 4" long bolt to that so the handle just slides on so it wouldn't be in the...

Lifting bar on FEL, instead of bucket or QA frame

Only an observation, I would be concerned about is lifting something with the quick attach only. A lot of threads about them getting bent out of sync from a lever getting loose while using. If one side pulls harder than the other yours could get bent. Using forks or the bucket would eliminate...

    Adding weight to Brushcutter

I am glad it helped you. I have the L2501 DT gear drive while most here have the HST. I also found using the foot throttle was better in backing rather than the hand throttle. But on the DT the dif lock is on the right side and you can't operate the throttle and dif lock at the same time. I...
