What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Have been spending this week prepping my land for a "open house" event highlighting prairie/oak savanna habitat restoration. I have guest speakers from US Fish and Wildlife and Central Wisconsin Invasive partners plus self guided tours and a few other activities. If any of the fine folks here...

    Anyone here serious about coffee?

i was wondering how deep the hole was your headed down! What are the advantages to roasting at home compared to buying roasted whole beans? I would assume you can tailor the roasting time and heat to your personal taste preferences ? What type of maker will you use? I am sure there will be a...

    Anyone here serious about coffee?

My son worked at a major food packaging facility in Central Wisconsin. One of the products they package is coffee K cups. The facility had a “company seconds store” that sold K cups that might have been under filled, or the label messed up a bit etc. He would bring me large boxes of loose K...

    Anyone here serious about coffee?

Closest I got was buying whole beans and grinding them at home to suit. The finer the grind the stronger the taste. I never used a French press, just a drip coffee maker. Every once in a blue moon I will purchase whole beans if I want to treat myself to a “decent” cup of coffee. Normally for me...

Which grapple to choose for my L2501 HST? Landpride, EA or MTL?

I purchased the Landpride SGC0660 for my L2501 HST . At the time the price was $1100 plus $88 in sales taxes. My main uses are much the same as yours. The style tines and claw have worked out fine for me , although I have the luxury of sandy soils when pulling small trees. I have the grapple on...

Photo shoot anything lately? Random Photo Thread

A few shots from my oak savanna habitat project. Pale purple cone flower with lance leaved coreospis in the background. Ohio spiderwort and monarch on milkweed. The seed pods are wild Lupine which I pick , dry and separate the seeds for planting in areas that are lacking Wild Lupine.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I spent yesterday mowing trails, around my little wildlife pond and a area for a future large pond. My soil type for the most part is loamy sand and dries out quickly within a day or two after a rain. I notice with this 6ft land pride mower I eat a lot more dust and dirt than with the four...

Photo shoot anything lately? Random Photo Thread

Its always fun to find and photograph ruffed grouse on my land. I hear them "drumming" more often than seeing them.

    L3901 loader joystick stopped working

Glad to help. I lucked out in that the threads on the rod end stud and the joystick lever were un-damaged. In my case the stud was not tightened durning assembly And worked itself loose. I now Have an additional 70 trouble free hours on the tractor and joy stick.

    L3901 loader joystick stopped working

My la525 loader joystick on my L2501 did the same thing at about 30 hours. I lost up and down but retained curl, the joystick was super loose. The rod end part number 70 came unscrewed from the lever, part 110. I had to remove the cover and was easily accessible. Not sure if this is what...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I purchased mine new in fall of 2019. I will measure it next time to the land. Will not be tomorrow , three new roofs being installed after a April hail storm. I should be down Saturday. Perhaps someone will chime in with that measurement before? :)

Not a tractor but I found it in the barn

My business partner and I purchased what looks like an identical stove minus the fancy castings on the sides. We paid $75 but that was 30 years ago. We heated a rustic 12 x24 cabin in east central Missouri. I can say that it was not very easy to regulate the flue or burn time of the wood. It...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

So far I have been totally happy with the performance. I too was worried about how a 6 foot cutter would perform behind my L2501. I just returned from my land and spent two hours cutting blackberry brambles and other invasive species in my native seeding area. I cut in medium range (hst...

how heavy is too heavy of a grapple

i Find the vast majority of my grapple work that puts the most Stress on the grapple is done down low and when I am using the curl function . Your loader has over 2 tons of bucket Break out force. I would think it’s just as important to have a heavy enough and stout grapple to withstand these...

how heavy is too heavy of a grapple

Seems to me a a 525 lb grapple on a loader rated for 2300 lbs (less than 25 percent) would be a great fit. https://kubota.ca/en/products/implements/loaders-bx-b-l/la1055

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I spent my day mowing my trail system and the area around my little wildlife pond with the 6 foot Landpride cutter. The pond is doing well after putting down the sodium bentonite. Water level rose 3 inches with the 1 1/4 rain last night. Very happy with the performance of both the L2501 and...

    My B7100hst has the creeps.

Around 1000 hours I had a similar problem with my late model B7100 hst. What I found is that the bearing , part number 6 was slipping off of the inverted v plate number 4 ( neutral holder). There was enough "slop" in the bearing and the plate and would allow the bearing to "fall" off the edge...

This should be interesting next growing season. Six foot Landpride cutter

I promised I would report back after running this Landpride 6 foot cutter behind my L2501 HST. I spent 2 1/2 hours this morning getting used to the size difference, coming from my B7100 HST with 4 foot King Kutter. The material I cut today was a lot of last seasons 2 1/2 foot to 3 foot tall...
