Hydraulic Chute Hood added to a BX2616 Snowblower

It is a Kubota Deluxe cab manufactured by Curtis Industries of West Boylston MA. I believe that they are making all the cabs for Kubota now. Excellent fit and finish, and the only thing that I have had problems with are the rubber seals that they buy. They push onto the edges of the door and...

MX6000 Grapple and Third Function kit

I would stay away from the Kubota 3rd function for only one reason. The button switch that they use for turning the power on and off is extremely fragile and expensive. I have a cab on my BX23S and at the top of the windshield are cutouts for rectangular switches. When they install the...

    Kubota Quality

If you have a favorite auto repair shop I'll bet they could give you a lot of rotors. I know the shop that I use, allows me to pick their iron pile for anything that I would want. In the past few week I have cut off at least 6 GFI plugs from air conditioning units. They allow their customers...

    Kubota Quality

I have had nothing but stellar experiences whenever I ordered parts over the past many years, however, my last 2 experiences have been with the same salesman (or so I believe, but am not absolutely certain), and he didn't impress me as someone that I would want to do business with again. He is...

Hydraulic Chute Hood added to a BX2616 Snowblower

I got this idea from another member who make a lengthy post about having the 3rd function valve, and the dealer wants to add a diverter valve to operate the chute hood on his new tractor. He looked at it and came up with a way to save $500 on his installation. Being that I already had a...

    Kubota Quality

I purchased a Landpride QH5 from Messicks and it didn't come with the instruction manual. The salesman told me that they don't come with manuals. I called LandPride and asked them about the manual. They said that it is wrapped around the hitch and is in a plastic bag and that Messicks could...

    Kubota Quality

I would see if you could find some body builder weights. A lot easier to remove should you want to use the box for something else. Mine is filled with 600 pounds of 1 1/4 # lead ingots. Too much work to remove them, so I am going to be putting suitcase weights in it for next year, or build a...

Synthetic or Conventional motor oil in Kubota diesels

I have read all 7 pages, and have learned nothing more than I already knew. Change oil regularly, and use the best oil that you can find with the rating that is set by the manufacturer. I'm down to my last case of oil, so I will need to go to the store and buy some more...

    Kubota Quality

Makes you wonder what will become of the defective loader. Will the dealer just weld the brackets and paint and then put it onto another tractor, or will Kubota want to take it back for an internal investigation? I'll bet that the robot that screwed up will be fired, and their Christmas bonus...

Use of MX5400 in snow and $1500 option to protech the motor

If you don't buy it you will need it someday, and if you do buy it, most likely you will never have a need for it. If the model changes next year, the kit will not be available soon thereafter. If you are flush with cash, then buy it, and if not, save the cash and put a wood-burning heater in...

Hydraulic Oil Fill Port on BX 2200

I have seen this, and I know why it is done. The plastic cap that Kubota uses will swell with age, and once you remove it, you can't get it back into the hole. Depending on how tightly he screwed the pipe into the casting will determine if you can put it back to the original now. Either way...

    Inspiration from Warren Buffett

I have been in my own business for 49 years, and at one time had 5 stores. I realized that running that many stores were more than I wanted to do, so one by one, as the leases came up, I closed them down. In the end, I had 2 stores and a great clientele, however, poor health forced me to...

BX2200D Three Point Hitch won't move

Then if that is the case, the cylinder inside of the transmission will need to be rebuilt. This post might shed some additional useful information.... https://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/threads/help-with-3-point-hitch-repair.33987/

    Leaky backhoe, normal?

Is this why Kubota doesn't offer a thumb that is hydraulically operated? I was thinking about installing a hydraulic thumb cylinder to my BX23S and using the 3rd function to power it. Is this a good or bad idea?

    Is this normal??

The answer is no, it is not normal to me. I would take it back to the dealer to have them correct or replace it however they deem necessary. It should be a warranty claim since your tractor doesn't look very old. Send them the pictures first, because they might need to order parts or they...

BX2200D Three Point Hitch won't move

The setup it easy. He has the lift arms that connect to the lower arms of the 3 point hitch improperly positioned. He needs to remove the pins and hook them to the lift arms that come out of the tractor. Right now, they are fixed to the frame of the tractor inhibiting the setup to work properly.

Snowblowing w/ turf tires - chains needed?

STOP READING! I have been moving snow with turf tires for 17 + years and have never found the need for chains, even though I do have them, but only put them on once, and immediately took them off. If you want to use chains, you will need wheel spacers before installing the chains. Kaching...
