Hydraulic Oil Fill Port on BX 2200

I am looking at picking up a 2001 BX2200 and on my first inspection of the tractor I noticed the rear hydraulic fill cap has been replaced with a short galvanized pipe nipple with pipe cap, the Kubota cap is not there. Has anyone seen this before and is it something to be concerned about? One of my concern is if the pipe threads are different from the Kubota original threads they will be all buggered up and a new cap would likely not go back in the fill. Any other concerns with this I am missing?

I have seen this, and I know why it is done. The plastic cap that Kubota uses will swell with age, and once you remove it, you can't get it back into the hole. Depending on how tightly he screwed the pipe into the casting will determine if you can put it back to the original now. Either way, I wouldn't be concerned.

On my BX2680 and I'm sure on most new ones, it just has a push in cap. I do not care for this at all, not sure why they did not put a threaded one on..
