New family member! What did I miss?

Trailer hitch receiver. I move trailers around with it, but it's other main job is for skidding logs out of the forest. And occasional subsoiler.

Pros and cons of snow removal options

Snowblowers remove the snow completely, no piling up banks. For snowier areas I'd say they're the best option. Used to hire a neighbor with a pickup-mouted plow, and always fought after with the huge snowbanks that built up each side of the driveway and parking. Love my B2782B.

What is the idle speed of the BX2370

1350 to 1550 according to the operator's manual, specs, page 3.

    2022 LX3310 seat adjustment

Reversible seat for backhoe usage? That's what I've got, not much cush in the cushion for sure, and the rear handle releases the seat so it can spin to face backwards for backhoe operation. It has no round knob on front of seat, but there's a round (disc shaped) knob below it that's for...

    L2650 with LA450 (?) 84Q loader - loader attachment issues have arisen

Sounds like the loader sub-frame needs to come off.

Cab or ROPS model? ROPS 2-way reversible seat for backhoe work?

What damage can repeated Jump Starting cause?

Sounds like the starter motor solenoid is getting energized from the switch but not responding. If there's current flowing through the starter solenoid, even though it's not moving to engage the starter's motor gear and high current starter motor circuit, then there will be a drop of voltage...

How much gear oil to put in gear box of Kubota L2195 Front snowblower

Drain it with the gear box warmed up if possible. I ran my blower through some heavy snow for a bit at least until the snow collecting on the auger gear box started melting off. Then the old gear oil will flow out faster with more of any contaminants it carrys with it. Keep the new 80W-90 at...

'Fess Up'......mistakes you've made or close calls.......

Something to watch for. Ok. I'm now capable enough with my BH77 backhoe that shifting the tractor position a few feet with the backhoe has become my norm, as it's so much faster to lift and push the unit around a bit than getting down, rotating the seat and driving it a couple feet. I just reach...

Paralysis by analysis - Buying decision needs wise input!

Same here. Didn't see the new tractor and implements, or bill to pay and paperwork to sign, until it arrived at my driveway on a tilting flatbed trailer from the dealership 100km away. The driver unloaded then handed me a paper stack to sign, and that was that. But I also spent 3 years I spent...

Any advice on which one to buy?

My B2650 would fit the bill for you quite nicely, IMO. 534kg lift at pin for its LA534 loader (1177 lbs.). Your $ budget wouldn't get you a new B50 or LX series bare tractor, never mind any added implements. And it's hard it seems to acquire a used Kubota CUT for much less than new. Good luck...

Paralysis by analysis - Buying decision needs wise input!

Lol I'm running 120 acres hobby farm and bush/forest using only my "little" B2650 HSD and various attachments/implements. But I'm in no rush, retired, not starting a business (just wrapped my construction contractor business 3 years ago) and the trees top out at around 2 1/2 ft max at stump. I...

    B2782B snowblower - loosening driveline

Yes, I wasn't planning to even try asking for the Kubota-stealership price on a 1" pillow block bearing. Thx for the suggestions on make, i'll ask for a decent quality bearing not any cheap units. Might buy a pair, they won't go bad sitting on my shelf, and prices will only climb.

    B2782B snowblower - loosening driveline

The reduction box bearings all seem rock solid and quiet, as are the pto ujoints, so unless there's noticeable deterioration they'll not need renewing ie $. I frequently squirt some chain oil onto the reduction box chain via the provided opening, way more than every 4 hours, likely closer to 1...

    B2782B snowblower - loosening driveline

The 2500 rpm input shaft on this snow blower has loosened at several places on me in its 5 winters of (I'm guessing) relatively hard work here in SE Manitoba. It's had the following issues i've caught before it damaged anything, and just finished a couple hours of working it over again to keep...

LA534 Loader hydraulic arms extending uneven

My fix for the QA release arms coming loose while doing heavy brush work. I also had a twisted QA frame from one arm getting popped open by bushes branches unnoticed while backing up, caught the forks frame on a stump and after that couldn't re-attach without a full retract to force it to fit...

Voltage Drop Tests for Dummies (Namely Me)

Step by step check turn on the key then check the voltage drop across EVERY wire and device that circuit flows through. The drop seems to occur, from your post, when the key is just turned to the run position, and not being further loaded by the glow plugs or starter cranking? Then there's a...

    Leveling rear blade

I assume the tractor is level, and/or or sitting with the blade on a flat surface? By lower arms, you mean the lift links with the right side being adjustable? I take "lower arms" as the lower links attached to pins near the bottom of the tractor diff. that get raised/lowered by the lift...

Cold starts: what is your preferred RPM setting??

These small 3 cyl 1- 1.5L engines heat up pretty fast once the block heater is plugged in. I'm used to 2 or 3 hours to prewarm our car block, but find that even one hour makes a big difference for starting my tractor's D1305 1.3L engine. I plug in starting around -10C.

    Air filter clogged with snow

My blower raise/lower cylinder just started leaking last year after 4 years of blowing snow here in SE Manitoba. I ordered a seal kit through Kubota and last week gave the cylinder to a local hydraulics shop for a re-build. I'm not versed at all in how to place those new and expensive bits of...
