Question(s) about tending a brush pile fire with the tractor.

I covered the smoldering remnants with dirt when I had to go to work the next day, over a month later and with snow on top of it I noticed smoke smoldering out.

Question(s) about tending a brush pile fire with the tractor.

I use the tractor FEL to push the pile together before I burn, then light it so it will burn against the wind. Only problem is when the wind changes direction, gets exciting, I have always been able to keep it contained. My wife likes to leave on those days, LOL.

Question(s) about tending a brush pile fire with the tractor.

After being a firefighter for 38 years, if dirt is available, I would take a shovel over a very limited fire extinguisher any time.

80 foot trench for propane line

Yes, rocks need a backhoe, trenched 3000 feet with a rented sit on trencher when I bought water rights from a neighbor, the rocky areas did not go as well, but much faster and no wear and tear on my backhoe, right tool for the job.

What to look for with a used L4310HST

It would be best to have someone with you that has run a Kubota. HST is different but better then manual, if it appears ridden hard, make sure the price reflects that, I shopped for over a year before finding mine, and saw some ridden hard asking top dollar. You have to have experience with...

What to look for with a used L4310HST

I am not familiar with that tractor, but I am very experienced buying used vehicles including my tractor, do your homework, take your time, talk to the seller and be comfortable when buying, I walk from flippers. These tractors are very expensive to fix, just for parts, any extras are a big...

You want how much?!! AKA fixing a wood burning stove.

I'm in the same boat, 5 to 10 cords per year depending on the winter, my Elite 44 Extrodinare, on its 23rd year needs occasional welding, but it saves us more than $2500 in propane each year. Beautiful welds. have you tried Stainless or Cold rolled?

looking for B7100 side link arms

I bought Turn Buckels online from Home Depot, and used threaded chain coupling for my 3pt bottom attachments, keep them tight or the jarring back and forth can damage the T.B.

    B21 - backhoe removal

My L47 is a pain until you figure the right lift with the out riggers and drop of the BH to get the right angle for it to slip out of the holster, not sure how your set up is configured.
