Paralysis by analysis - Buying decision needs wise input!

There is lots of great advice here, figure out what you could rent a tractor for, keep it for a day or two and run it hard, the right tractor for the job makes life easier, having somebody come in with their equipment is definitely more expensive in my area. If I am going to run a piece of...

    L47 TLB

I do a switch about once or twice a year, so I get rusty, I'm sure there all a bit different, but on my L47 it takes me about 1 hr. Winter, I have an angle blade for the snow, Spring I scrap the weeds and whenever in between that I have a project to dig a hole or trench. Best to remove on...

    L47 TLB

I have a stock Duramax/Diesel Dually, I go 50mph max, could go faster but don't need to I'm retired. BH digs fine, I could dig faster but I'm in no hurry. I considered the larger TLBs for the hp and 14' depth, but the weight was at the limit and if I need a deeper hole I dig down with the front...

Killing the battery instantly on starting

Sounds like you could have a parasitic draw, charge the battery and remove the fuses one by one, where the issue is should have some minor or major spark. I have had more times than once where I just put in a battery shutoff when unable to find.

Any Fat tire bike owners out there?

My wife and I have a Velowave Ranger, $1600 Amazon, and a Rad Rover "Step thru six plus", $2100 on line, we love them, need a good quality rack, I welded brace inside the rack for extra strength, bikes 70lbs each, took them cross country behind our truck camper, almost anywhere people hike we...

Getting ready to retire, what did you treat yourself with?

Really, my L-47 was my retirement to myself, wanted a tractor I could start every day and not have 10,000hrs like my old JD. Hope I can put 10,000hrs on my Kubota.

    Running Hot

If you have room, try a cut to size HVAC filter in front of your radiator to pull out and shake/clean often. I like the leaf blower idea, but not getting in there in the first place is best. You think they could have designed these tractors better.

Question(s) about tending a brush pile fire with the tractor.

"Hot cooking oil", reminded me of one of the calls I went on as a paramedic, elderly guy working his portable food cart on a street corner, had a stroke, bystanders found him leaning over with one of his hands in the boiling cooking oil, still alive.
