    Changing Super UDT2

yup and most of them have a suction screen inside too that rarely if ever gets cleaned. a lot of the zero turns (outside the ZD and ZG300 series) have spin on filters as well. They gotta keep everyone on their toes I guess ;) and for the sake of argument the last time I changed the fluid in...

National Park Service 4WD Only Trails. No AWD Allowed.

we use our polaris out in the park and sometimes the forest. It is awd. Been checked once. No issue. I think the rangers are smarter than the people who come up with that stupid stuff all polaris utvs are awd. Selectable awd, but nonetheless awd. Well except the pro-R and ranger 1500, I...

Mr Lug Bolt please take a peek

i have only worked on one that had a 3ph, and that's been a LONG time ago. I don't remember much about it.

    2010 RTV 500 repairs

flywheel key could be an issue if it's "that" far out, though, normally you can put a cylinder at TDC and look at the timing mark. If it's off a little the key would be suspect. On those, though-because of how kubota designed it, that's not an easy task to do as I recall.

    Compression issue

agree with oleracer squealing sound is indicative of a connecting rod bearing that's spun. Possibly stacked. Stacked, meaning it's likely that the upper bearing has been beat up and "intermittently locked" itself to the crankshaft, then came loose. Since the clearance became excessive, the...

    svl75-2 injector problems

kubota will not warranty parts that are not purchased from a kubota dealer. I'm not sure of any manufacturer that will, so when one makes that kind of statement-it certainly makes one question their credibility. BTW unless the original injectors have had water or other contamination run...

    g1800 parts

I think as long as they're selling a certain number, they'll keep making them. When demand drops off, they'll kill that part. Kawasaki on the other hand, they kinda got under my skin on a VN1500. 5 years old, wire harness NLA. Harness was on fire so there was no fixing it, at least not in a...

    2024 Summer Olympics

I did a lot of sports when I was in school. But, I'll be honest-I couldn't compete. These folks could use different substances for workouts and bulking up, etc--I refused to, and obviously was no good, at least not as good as they were. I moved on to other sports; drag racing. anyway, I'm...

    LA 525 drops before lifting

i wonder if it's possible if the lane shark motor uses more fluid flow than the tractor/pump can handle? Standard L series tractors aren't really designed to run a constant flow hydraulic motor--which is what the reps told us way back in, like, 2018. Maybe things have changed.

    KTAC Insurance Claims

I've bought a few of them over the years, mostly lawn & garden stuff. Couple subcompacts. You can do well but don't buy them sight unseen! Go look at it in person if possible. yes, things happen. Fell off the trailer, etc. I remember one, a ZD mower as I recall, customer loaded it (brand...

Sidekick RTV-XG850 backfiring / loss of power

400 hours on a unit that gets used in the dirtiest, dustiest possible conditions is about the same as a LOT more hours/miles on a car that runs in a lot cleaner conditions, at 10-25% load most of the time (where anything kubota is typically 50% to 100% load all the time). all I'm saying on...

    ZD1211 fixed axle pins

that's not uncommon and that's not gonna be fun to get freed up either. I have had to cut the parts out in the past. There is a grease fitting on a lot of them, which often is neglected. Then they get stuck.

    ZD1211 fixed axle pins

there isn't a huge noticeable difference in cut quality if the axle is allowed to swing. There is a difference in comfort, however. I tend to prefer that over cut quality in "my" yard (and it's certainly not a manicured yard!)

    16mm Wheel studs

I don't know of a source, but you might check with the shop guys at a kubota dealer and see if they have any laying around. Take an old one with you to match it. Sometimes they'll have a few in the stash of stuff, or in a tool box drawer. I don't have any more kubota parts but I do have a...

    ZD1021 X-Blades

that's exactly what it is, is a gimmick. It's been tried in various forms over the years, by many different places/people. I tried a set (I made the setup, which is almost identical to the commercially available version) on my ZG127. It cuts marginally better. It makes a LOT more noise...

L3301 HST quit running at idle

Most starters, including almost all of the newish kubota's use a overrun clutch on them. So after the engine starts, it lets the gear spin faster than the shaft that it's attached to, which significantly reduces the possibility of both a stuck gear, and also a failed starter due to it being...

    Lake City, FL

as said, normal. I've seen guys shim them to try to fix it though. I guess it bothers them "that" much? And I've seen many questioning why in the world Kubota would do that, and why they used cheap "sheet metal" to mount the upper ends of the cylinders like that. I'm fairly certain the...

Lifting zero turn mower to remove blades?

used to be a grasshopper dealer. That was a selling feature. I never used it at work unless the RO said "deck tilt not working". Some of the Kubota's have a pivoting front axle that will jack the machine up high enough to get a wrench in there. It locks too, so it won't fall. Pretty slick...

Proof that God exists......Miracles do happen.

reminds me. I had a guy stop by last week, wednesday to be exact, dropped off a 4 wheeler for me to work on. I finished it Friday and called him. No answer. Ok whatever. Left message. Got a call Saturday, he was in the hospital. Apparently they're building a deck on the back of the house...
