G1800 with D662-E Engine possibly locked up.

if it was that burnt, it makes me wonder if it was "stuck" in the engaged position (juice applied to the solenoid) for some reason? You did rewire it, correct? The combination box does more than confuse people. But that's all I'm gonna say about it.

    V3307-T CR piston replacement

you're finding out why dealers often replace them rather than trying to rebuild them.

Kubota diesel buggy/ go cart/ lawn mower swap

some of the real old Deere 200 series had a 4 speed transmission that MIGHT work. I wanna say they were Peerless transmissions but I could be wrong. That setup, you may be able to turn the engine sideways in the frame and run the belt down the side like the Deere's are from the factory. IIRC...

How many customers does the treadle pedal cost Kubota?

Deere's twin pedal system cost me a lot of money. Went to hit the pedal and slipped to the opposite one, sent tractor through the barn door. Kubota's pedal is a LOT easier to deal with in that sense. To me it's just a lot more natural to rock your foot backwards to go backwards, rock your...

    L2501 Starting Issue

Did dealer tech work for 3 decades. A $5 can of starting fluid has destroyed a lot of expensive engines. Some were just rods, some were just pistons, some had the cylinders scored up so badly from broken rings that they couldn't be salvaged on any kind of budget (resleeving required), some...

    very common. Poor design, IMO.

Kubota diesel buggy/ go cart/ lawn mower swap

it would not be that hard to double that speed. Had a Wizard riding mower many moons ago, was given to me (freebie) at work. Pretty trashed but it did kinda run. Carb had something wrong with it. I was trying to figure it out, it ran out of fuel and I grabbed the can and refilled it...

    Bad Boy

that's because it's identical. Kubota was at one point gonna go after Bad Boy for use of the color, which was protected by trademark as I remember. I don't know what ever happened with that. One of many suits Bad Boy was involved with.

4240 leaks hyd oil at clutch drain plug

after you've done a few "splits" they aren't hard. Time consuming and a lot of parts have to come off. Done at the house in my shop, I can do one in about 9 hours or so. Biggest problem is keeping up with all the stuff you take off and second biggest issue is supporting and moving each half...

    Bad Boy

I have been through the powder coat and fab area and pointed that out to the folks working there, that they were going to have coating adhesion issues with their way of doing it. It boils down to manufacturing; the lasers COULD cut the corners a little differently but it also caused problems...

    Bad Boy

yeah that was a venture between bad boy mowers and Kukje machinery of China. Kukje also makes other brands too, TYM, Branson, a few others (I think). Draw your own conclusions. The folks at Bad Boy are known for being go-getters but sometimes it gets them into trouble. Remember when they got...

Changed fuel filter, now leaks through retainer ring

don't remember on those but on a lot of the "newer" ones I dealt with, there was supposed to be an o-ring between the cup and the mount. Real easy to miss it, and if you do, they WILL leak.

    Kubota dealer visit

some parts cost more for them to order in small quanties than they'll ever make back on them. A can of paint, they may have to order a case minimum quantity and if you buy one can and they're stuck with 5 more, those 5 may be on the shelf for ages. In that time, they may have to pay $75-$100...

    L2502 seat

tell them to quit taking seats off of tractors on the lot and order you a new one through parts. See if they'll do that.

Tractor got hot know drags and not start?

if' it's the L2900 in your sig, the second sensor is for the glow plug system, just like the L35's. All of the old Grand L's had that system. L2900, L3300, L3600, L4200 L3010, etc

    ZD326 shutting off

the control arm switches, if open (arms in), will prevent the engine from cranking over. So will the PTO switch if the controller thinks the pto is "on". Similarly, the OPC switch (seat switch). Thus if it cranks over fine, those switches are probably working.

How about some 140w gear oil in the front diff?

quite a few customers asked to have 85w140 in their front axles, saying it leaks out slower. I can't think of one that ever had a failure to my knowledge.

    Low Compression Identification

definitely one bent rod, or wrong rod, whatever. Pull the pan and knock the pistons out. #2 cyl looks to have been hot in a previous life as well unless my eyes is that poor.
