Im gonna lay a bunch of masks on the living room floor, spritz them with aerosol 3M adhesive, and then roll around on them like a cat in a catnip patch.
I suppose if the pilot is a ball bearing and it isn't shielded on the inside then the grease will just pop off the outside shield, letting the grease vent through the balls.
I've read you can extract pilot bearings by packing the cavity with grease and machining some round stock to closely fit the bearing ID.
Smack round stock with hammer and the bearing is hydraulically driven out.
