    Ticks!

Thanks for the advice fellers! The ticks have been a mix between the Lone Star and the black legged tick which are two of the worst for diseases in my area. My sister called me in Doxycycline this morning which I will pick up after work. So hopefully, it will rid me of any of that bacteria the...

    Ticks!

I have picked over 50 ticks off of me in the last few days including 11 since last night. For the past week my lymph nodes in my arm pits have been swollen and painful and I have been running a fever off/on for the past few days and have been so fatigued and achy that I have came home after work...

Well... I thought we were in a safe place here to not have to hear about Taylor Swift. I guess I was wrong...😬:D

    RTV900 Not Charging

The tail lights also run off that fuse. Check and make sure you don't have a damaged taillight or wiring to them.

    Tiller Speed?

I have a 2502 with a 5' tiller. I run my RPM up to about 2300. I just creep along and it does an excellent job! My soil is heavily packed red clay and have zero issues.

    4wd not working

Have you confirmed that 4x4 is actually not working and it's not simply a burnt out light? Wouldn't be the first time....

    Insurance after payoff.

I have a very good agent. Years ago I had been using one of my dads heavy duty trucks for my business. I insured the truck in my name even though my dad owned the truck. I wrecked the truck and discovered that you can't insure something owned by someone else. After my agent explained this to me...

    Insurance after payoff.

That's not necessary. A conversation isn't proof of anything or even a binding agreement, whereas the policy is and states exactly what is/isn't covered. I'm good!

    Insurance after payoff.

You might want to check different carriers. I added mine to my homeowners and made sure it covers accidental damage that covers basically ANYTHING that could potentially happen to my tractor. My agent and I had a very lengthy discussion on all the possible scenarios that could happen to a...

    That was really bad

Oh gotcha! Thanks for sharing this. I have a very steep part in my front yard going down to the road and had never even considered about sliding, so this will definitely be on my mind going forward.

my 2502 is paid for. I have mine insured through my homeowners for " new replacement value" which includes accidental damage as well. Costs me $180 a year...

    That was really bad

Glad you're okay, Dan! Did the back wheels come off the ground to make you break away, or was it just so slick that you actually slid down the hill. When I read that you forgot to have it in 4x4, it instantly made me think the back wheels musta came up allowing it to run away,..

    Whos into home grown

Yeah I love it. Very heavy duty and works very well. I lucked into it... A buddy bought it brand new and used it one time and sold it to me for $600. Seen the same model sold locally, well used, for $1800.

    Whos into home grown

Agreed! He's one of very few living men that I would trust with anything. Real good guy and he and I are always there to help one another. Both of my sisters are married to two brothers. I wouldn't say this about the other B-I-L. lol

    Whos into home grown

Apparently, he started to till one spot and felt his John Deere 3520 was a bit too top heavy to till where he was trying to. So he took it off and hasn't touched it since. He's a master mechanic and the director of a very large service center that works on tractors, so no worries if he broke...

Advice on first real tractor for retirement.

Actually, that's been said a BUNCH! Usually by people who either discover the larger tractor and it's turning radius or width is too much for their intended use, or by people who primarily use a tractor in their yard and find that a heavier tractor is tearing their yard up. I often feel that...

Advice on first real tractor for retirement.

My shooting range was the VERY FIRST project I did when I bought my 2502 in September. I had just purchased my home and 20 acres in August and had to have a place to throw some lead....

Advice on first real tractor for retirement.

You can probably find a nice used B26TLB for less than what the others cost new and is a much stouter machine being Kubota's commercial series. If you insist on a new machine, the 2502 or a used 2501 would make for a good tractor. As said above, the 2501/02 series doesn't have mid pto but for...
