Fixing hole in side of block

So Joe essentially assembled his engine to this point with components unlubricated. I doubt anyone would claim this is desirable. So my question is, since Joe has mentioned turning over the engine by hand, would it be possible to somehow apply oil under pressure to the block, so that while...

    BL4690B backhoe

I got curious and did a quick search of images on line, and the images I saw for the BH4690B are almost identical to my BL4690A backhoe... So my bet it is a 3PH backhoe….

Random you tube find-Don't load your tractor this way!!

This is certainly true. Would wheel chocks on the trailer or front wheels of the truck made a difference?

    Daily Chuckle

Brings back memories! Never ran like that with my mom, but she had these cheap yardsticks that broke over your back easily. Not sure how many she went through with me, but it was more than a few! I remember one event like that with my dad. Fortunately, he was not able to run as fast as I was...

Fixing hole in side of block

Joe, since you like to make do with what you have, I wonder if you could use a hose clamp rather than the proper tool to get the rings compressed into the piston so you can insert the piston? You might have to use multiple hose clamps, but it might work…

    Pulley problem - RCK54-23BX

^^^^ This. Also, pay attention to the orientation of the pulley hub when you remove it. Not sure about your deck, but with my deck, the pulley hub has a slot in the bottom which aligns with a hole in the spindle, from which grease exits into the top bearing. There is a one-in-three chance of...

    BH92 Backhoe Stabilizer Arm Droop

#3 possibility…. Control valve for that stabilizer has greater than average leakage through it. Wonder if you could swap hoses between the two control valves and see what happens?

    RCK 60-23BX mower Belt Replacement

I think the problem might be that the end of the spring has such a short radius, it would be difficult to get the tool off the spring, while time getting the spring hook end latched onto the post. I know I’ve struggled with that spring many times over the years, and the ratchet strap idea that...

    RCK 60-23BX mower Belt Replacement

I just did that reattachment of the tension spring on my RCK60–22BX. (I believe that mower deck number) I asked the same question in a specific thread recently, and the suggestion that I got that worked really well for me, was to use a little ratchet strap to pull the spring. In my case the...

    New l2502 wheel issue

You need to make a measurement to verify that what you’re thinking is actually correct. But like has been said above, there’s no adjustment anyway. I think you could make a valid measurement using a two or three foot-long carpenter level. What I would do is first use the level determine if the...

Not surprising. There’s lots of strange people born and raised in this country like this person. I don’t see how this post and the ones related to it before this one relate to the daily chuckles thread, though! Maybe it’s just me…. edit: I read a different report that she was born and raised...

Fixing hole in side of block

Not a good idea to use a metallic object as a pointer when dealing with electricity! Granted in this case it is low voltage, but the battery can produce an arc that is quite hot and energy intensive.

Fixing hole in side of block

Short answer: NO The starter motor is a DC series wound motor. Reversing polarity does not reverse direction of rotation. To reverse rotation, you would have to rewire the motor internally. You would reverse the physical orientation of either of the field wings or the armature.

Need help with RCK60B-22BX MMM repair

Just an update. I ended up using a ratchet strap to release tension on the spring that holds the tension pulley against the belt. That worked really well. I tried other ways but they failed to work for me. I actually did not have that groove aligned properly with the hole in the shaft, , but...

This is becoming a favorite thread for me! I don’t mean this the way it sounds, but the other favorite thread that I have right now and have had for a while is the Daily Chuckle... I have to laugh when I say that, because I don’t mean it the way it sounds!
