Why do you use a toothbar?

Anyone tried the BX Attachments cutting bar? I really like the pre-drilled bolt-on aspect to match the hole pattern in the new buckets without fidgeting with drilling in the side. Doesn't seem as aggressive as the Piranha or EA.

    Push me off the ledge

Took a 2 hour lunch break and got to work: Hooked up the post hole digger Spread the spring compost layer around all the (~15) orchard trees Dug up and relocated a young apple tree Planted a new addition to the orchard. Both if the new holes were prepared by sinking the PHD in 4 spots around the...

What to include in BX2680 order

Thanks -- today I learned! I guess never having seen one setup that way doesn't mean it's not an option ... just not popular in these parts 🤷‍♂️

What to include in BX2680 order

I don’t think R1 is an option on the BX. Interesting results of traction for an R4 vs Turf: https://youtube.com/watch?v=c9EVpXjzHsY I chose the R4 for use primarily on lawn and pasture — so far no regrets. Even with >50% more traction, they still break free surprisingly easy. I’m in the...

    Push me off the ledge

Indeed, I have. Strange times these days. Local dealer got 10 BX's in stock 2 weeks ago, they have 3 left. Similar story in other dealerships in the area with inventory on hand. There are some rebates that all dealers are cutting the price by, but, nobody is budging much beyond that -- they...

    Push me off the ledge

No, the intent is for *this* to be the "big" tractor (compared to the POS riding lawn mower that has done limited work for the last 2 years, a BX is actually "big"). I'm going to sell the rider for a few shillings to free up the garage space. I think a BX will do so much more than I can do...

    Push me off the ledge

Yeah, that would probably be the smart money way to do it. The pasture isn't rough ground, so, I'm not terribly worried about the MMM doing the job (it will only be high-mowed to 4" or more). But, around the house, I really would prefer the finish mower for that. Edit -- also, I've been...

    Push me off the ledge

Ohh, and one more udpate -- the RCK60B was from the BX..00 series from the 90's (like BX1800, BX2200, etc). My local dealer said the linkages are not compatible that far back. *shrug* Seems like he did some homework on it and did not just idly blow off my query.

    Push me off the ledge

Hah, that's exactly the operation now. A chain hoist in the barn lifts it off the trailer.

    Push me off the ledge

Nothing in my price range will lift a 2000# feed tote off a truck bed and move it into the barn. So, with that off the task list, that leaves: turning the compost piles, mowing several acres of pasture (including up/down a steep hill), post-hole digging, and light-duty landscape work. I'd be...

    BX2370 Rear Wheel Spacers Bro-Tek 2 Inch

Is the bx..70 series a different pattern than the bx..80 series?

    Push me off the ledge

Went to the dealer and drove a BX2380 around the parking lot. My concern of the treadle pedal was not really an issue. I've got a line on used RCK60B mower deck with all the BX attachment links + shaft. That deck was from a 50 series, but, the linkages look exactly the same to my eye --...
