Photo shoot anything lately? Random Photo Thread

My almost new GR Corolla enjoying the riverfront area. "GR" is Gazoo Racing. It's a factory Toyota hot rod 3 cyl 300 hp, AWD, 6sp manual rocket in a sleeper package. Late life crisis car ;), and I'm lovin it!

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

You know the Matrix and the Pontiac Vibe are basically the same car as far as parts go? They were made on the same assembly lines at the NUMMI plant in San Fransisco. You may be able to find parts you need by sourcing from Pontiac or salvage yard Vibes.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

A lightning strike three years ago did severe damage to about 1/2 of a large Maple in my front yard. 1 year ago a large section fell into an adjacent tree. Today it finally made it's way ALMOST to the ground. Thanks to my Kubota and some chain, I was able to get it on the ground today and...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I added some small plates to my loader arms to help stabilize my forks when I have them folded up. I have a CNC machine to cut stuff, so I cut these little brackets and welded them on this afternoon. The forks tended to wobble around when I drive with them folded up. Used 16 gauge metal. The...

Damaged SSQA plate, good lesson learned

Mike: "strictly a dealer repair" haha. I think I could have that fixed in an hour or two for a lot less than the $700-1000 the dealer is going to charge the idiot.

Getting ready to retire, what did you treat yourself with?

I still feel younger than my 65 yrs, but it takes a lot more work to keep fit. I am a year round jogger and casual weight lifter. My town has a half marathon 1st weekend every October, so I train all Summer for that. Even though I am as fast as I was 15yrs ago, it takes more mental and...

Jump in there man. Harbor Freight has some MIG and/or multi-purpose welders that make learning pretty easy. I have experience (amateur) with most forms of welding and my opinion MIG is the easiest to learn and the most versatile for us average guys. Some of the MIGs come with a spool gun to...

Getting ready to retire, what did you treat yourself with?

Yeah, if anything in 2023 I might cut a pile of automotive related license plates and small-medium wall hanger sized signs and sell at a few local car shows. Not necessarily because I think that's "where the money is" but because I like going to car shows. I'll see how that goes and decide if...

Getting ready to retire, what did you treat yourself with?

I already had a 40 x 50 garage with a lot of upgrades like welders, two post lift, etc. So, my retirement upgrade was a Langmuir CNC table for my plasma cutter. I have been designing and cutting signs. So far, just for friends, birthdays, Christmas, etc. Everybody keeps telling me I need to...

Are you enjoying the weather change?

Southern Indiana here. We had 3 days with highs below 10 degrees. It's starting to rebound today. We're at 18F right now. Our 3" snow was so dry I didn't bother to try and remove with tractor. Used the Echo backpack blower to clean porches and walkways. We have light snow overnight, then...

    Stuck hydraulic oil filter

I second the use of the end cap on filters that are really stuck like yours. I recently bought one of the spring loaded, adjustable end cap type and it does not work very well. The dedicated sized ones are the way to go. They don't work with the Fram filters with the "gripper" material glued...

    In market for budget welder

I know this thread is a few months old, but thought I'd reply in case you haven't made a purchase yet. I currently own a Hobart 150amp MIG and a Primeweld 225 amp TIG/Stick. I also have a Primeweld 60Amp plasma cutter and CNC table. I enjoy and use all 3 types of welding, since each has their...

Made myself a pallet fork attachment

You're right, I have a CNC table for my plasma cutter and can make some stuff. So, I could have made it all. But, I actually ordered the set with a solid backing plate, which would have been 48" x 18", at 3/8" . That's roughly $75 plus time/fuel. I figured that amount plus the additional for...

Made myself a pallet fork attachment

I "made myself a set of pallet forks" so I thought I'd add it to this thread. I ordered a quick attach back plate from Titan Pallet Forks for $149. I had an old set of forks from a previous tractor. I cut out several brackets and used some 3" x 3" angle for the bottom runner. Scrap for the...

Trailering accident - Any idea what happened here?

I am guessing this started with a phrase something like, "dude, hold my beer", and ended with "no way, dude!".

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

You are correct on their spread and impact. Frogs did love the stuff though, since they could sit on the floating mass, but it was definitely an oxygen drain on the water. Tried two types of weed killer first. It looked wilted for a week or so, then perked right back up. I think because most...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

A week or so ago I did some pond cleanup at parent's house. Two years ago their neighbor who spends Winters in Florida ask my Dad if he could "see if this plant can survive Indiana Winters". My Dad let him put a few small pieces in his pond. Fast forward two years and the stuff was already...

Clearing out around that large tree. It is gonna become a trailer deck, after my friend brings over his sawmill. Ground too soft right now.
