3-point hitch is down

Both spools seem the same when activated...goes in and returns, however, the loader spool does not feel like there is any pressure behind it when activated. Feels loosey goosey!

Should I change the hydraulic fluid and pull the strainer? Could it be that simple?

Do I need to drain the fluid before disconnecting hoses?

Dan - see pics

Neutral Position

Activated Position (it does somewhat appear that the loader spool is not going in as far as the bucket spool)

Retracted Position
Well its moving which was my main concern. There should be two positions when you move the lever to lower. Can you push it into the second posution? It takes a little force to get past the detent.

Either your pictures are wrong or something is a foul with your linkage, as 2 pictures are the same spool position.
And if your only moving one spool the other is moving too.

Back at it again...A local tractor guy told me to remove the spool end cap and that it is likely the set screw that has backed off loose (said I would need an allen key to tighten). I have removed the end cap and can see the spring...but not sure where the set screw is located? Is there a service/parts manual that shows how to disassemble?

Put it back together before you break something. Have you determined the spool is or is not moving the proper amount?

3-point hitch is fully down
Place the loader on the ground.

Disconnect both lift cylinder hoses at the hard line fittings. Make surd to put identifying labels on both hoses and pipes so you can put them back correctly.

Place the ends of both hoses in a clean bucket

Start the tractor and move the joystick to the lower position.

Do you get oil flow from one but not both hoses? Can you push the joystick further in the down direction and does flow stop?
