What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

So I fixed it, but soon as I lifted it back up they bent a little so I will be strengthening that up for sure. No wonder why Land Pride updated this model to have gussets and what not. Must be they were getting bent!
No big deal, should be easy to cut some scrap metal I got and add some gussets and weld them in and then paint it.
I'm not the original owner of the tractor, the previous person had the 3 point kinda setup not the right way. They left the sway chains pretty loose so I think they were using the ballast box and letting all the weight sway like crazy and I'm sure it bent it. I know it needs some sway so nothing binds but it shouldn't be all floppy and flailing around.
It will be a good project. I don't know a TON about 3 point lift systems so this is good practice learning how to properly level the attachment.

This is version 2. Made it in about 3 minutes with a miluwaukee finish nailer lol. Don't judge me.
Version 1 was metal, half the size of version 2, but would bang up against the quarter glass. Sometimes rather hard when things got bumpy.
This one's ugly as sin, but it sits!
After using @Speed25's plow to repair the lawn (the lawn was wrecked by the garden project and needed some general fill and smoothing even before that, thankfully Speed sent me that big plow because it took only 4 passes) I took both plow cylinders off to get them repacked. One has a seal so bad if I use the plow the tractor has no need for a grease gun; the other just keeps the floor wet, until disconnected, then the quick disconnect behaves like an incontinent old man eating a week-old Taco Bell burrito.
The industrial hydraulic shop changed their hours and is not only still in business, but expanded three times! Talked with the owner and told him no rush, just need them back before snow season--can't tell you how happy that and taging both with completed service tags made him.
I should have taken a picture up-front as they were in a right-sized box and looked great initially, but transport must have made them nervous because they wet the box clean through despite zip-tying rags to the "leaky spots", and all that wet looked like two teenagers hitting puberty at a slumber party.

That cruise control was a game changer for me.
Did your other one have cruise control? My 3301 did not.
The LX3310 had cruise control but I didn't use it. It made the hst whine worse so it wasn't worth it.
Haven't tried the cruise control on the L yet. The transmission is a dream though. I could feather the hst in the LX3310 but it was still Jerky. The hst is silky smooth in the L.
Be sure when you add the gussets you leave as much room as possible to get the pin and lock in the hole.
Plus room to hook a quick hitch to ... Just to "future proof" it ... This is a how mine hook on ...
A while back I posted about some trouble I was having putting my FEL back on my 2380. Couldn't figure out why it was easy with my old 2380 and a head scratcher on this one. I took it off yesterday to mow and when I came back to where I park it I noticed that the drop-down stands left leg was off the cement a couple inches.
Looking at it I found the locking knuckle brace was not set. Right side was locked, and the leg or foot was solid to the ground. I tried to push or kick it into the lock position, but I couldn't do it. Had to get a 2X4 and slam it into the locked position. Thinking back on this I always raised the loader and released the stand allowing it to drop on its own. A while back I watched a YT vid where the operator curled the bucket under, released the latch and by uncurling the bucket allowed the stand to come down gradually which is what I have been doing since I got this tractor. My thinking is this has been my problem all along. I'll be putting the loader back on today or tomorrow and will see if it cures the problem. I'm thinking it is just like trying to reinstall the loader on uneven ground. I'll let ya'll know what happens. Oh, just to be clear, when I got my first 2380 I watched the Messicks(sp) vid and he just raised the loader and released the stand allowing it to drop. I'm going back to that.

After waiting over a year for Summit to ship an "in stock" BX Top & Tilt Kit paid for up-front I rolled up to my desk Wednesday to cancel the order and fab my own suff--I don't know much about hydraulics but am sure I could git 'er done within three months of trial by fire (given the BX lives a few hours away). And...sure as Frank Lloyd Wright knows something about art, it showed up.
I don't know what tractor gods I pissed off, but the quick-connects are far to big to fit 1/4" "Kubota Factory Rear Remotes" which is one of the things thoroughly covered when ordering; everything working out of the box is why I went with a kit, from a reliable vendor, three months before I needed it. Add to that they did ship a Double Pilot Operated Check Valve for the side link, which is great since I paid for one, however it's a stacking component for a Summit Rear Remote and won't work with "Kubota Factory Rear Remotes"--can't win on that one.
Also, if anyone is wondering, China must be proud of their stuff because every single part is stamped with either a Chinese emblem or "MADE IN CHINA" in all caps. Well, at least the welding looks good, and I can't complain about paint coverage because they hit everything heavy, even inside the hydraulic ports; hopefully the fittings seal well and the paint doesn't break down when the system is full of fluid and contaminate the hydraulic system.
Waiting for Summit to email back on the issues....at least it's one step closer to install.

I was cleaning the tractor a bit this morning and noticed this.
The hard lines going to the loader are starting to rust. I'm pretty concerned about this. Would it be ok to take a stainless brush and clean it off and spray with protectant?

Use Fluid Film, it won't hurt the paint on anything else. In the future, look over everything and spray Fluid Film at any sign of corrosion.
Looks like mouse piss. Literally. Mice pee always as they crawl around and it sticks to the horizontal parts. Hit it with a disenfectant like OdoBan our Lysol and see if it comes off. JUST Spray it, wait a couple minutes and try to wipe it off. AND Wear gloves.
If it comes off, it is probably just rodent piss.
If it doesn't come off, it may be rust or otherwise.
