    Considering a new tractor

Hi. I am looking to get a small tractor to help with landscaping projects around the house and small tasks on the farm. I do have a larger tractor for heavier tasks. In the new tractor, I will order a BH and considering a grapple for moving brush. Have looked at the B2650 and the BX23S. I...

    Front axle leak on L4740

Hello all, Last week i discovered a leak from the right side front axle just inside the tire. I did find several threads discussing front axle leaks but none specifically for the L4740. What is the difficulty level for the repair? Any special tools required? Anyone have a specific work...

    Thinking of getting a Backhoe

Wow. Very impressive work for you and your tractor. It sounds like you would also add a thumb to the BH? Thanks for sharing your experience. It helps a lot in making my decision.

    Thinking of getting a Backhoe

Ricotter, Your use sounds similar to how I am expecting to use the BH. Any estimate you can provide for how long it takes to dig out various size and tree types of stumps? Thanks.

    Thinking of getting a Backhoe

I am thinking of getting a BH92 backhoe (and thumb?) for my L4740. I have a number of tree stumps to dig, trees to plant, landscaping around the house and barns, clearing some ground for a trail thru a woods, burying leftovers from our burning pile. When those things a done, I would have a...

    L4740 Rear Work lights issue

The mystery is solved! The L8333 kit is correct. The difficulty I had was in locating the connectors for the lights. The correct connectors were completely taped inside the harness for the amber flasher outside the cab. The connector is pretty small and I could not see it under the factory...

    L4740 Rear Work lights issue

Update: The L8329 was not even close to being correct. Looked like it is for a ROPS tractor only. Only had 1 light and a Ubolt to mount to ROPS. So dealer is back to contacting Kubota for more suggestions.

    L4740 Rear Work lights issue

200, Yes you are correct in how those kits are labeled. But when parts guy called Kubota, they told him that L8333 is for ROPS tractors except for the L5740 cab. And that other cab models use the L8329. We will see in a few days. I am very confident that a relay will be required for these...

    L4740 Rear Work lights issue

It appears that my open relay socket does match the previous diagram. I have larger wires: Pink/blue, Yellow/black and smaller wires Red/white and Orange. I have ohm'ed out the Yellow/black and it does go to the rear work light spade connectors in each rear corner of the cab. The Red/white...

    L4740 Rear Work lights issue

200, We did take the roof off to get a closer look. We did find both the rear defrost and the rear work lights. One is blue, the other is white. I am not 100% sure which is which. The switch from the kit does fit into the blue connector but does not fit into the white connector...

    L4740 Rear Work lights issue

I am in process of adding a couple accessories to my L4740-3 cab tractor. Ordered a rear wiper and rear work lights from local dealer. Wiper installed as expected. However the rear work lights (kit number L8333) do not seem to be the correct for my tractor. Three issues it seems. The switch...
