A good list of things I can check. I did pull the fuel filter and diesel looks clean. My old battery was dead and had a bad cell so I just put a new one in today. I will check all fuses in the morning. Might also purge fuel Lines in case I have some air.

Texas tractor so cold is usually not an issue. Put it up for winter, so has not run in about 4 months. This thing always starts, so it’s something new from sitting.

Put new battery in my MX 5000. Cranks strong and have smoke coming out exhaust, but won’t fire. Glow plug light does not go off when I try to heat them up. Any suggestions before I haul it in to town?

Sorry for the delay in posting a picture (in attachment)...weather delay on getting out to the ranch. Here is the plug that is leaking in my wheel. No idea what is it for, or if I can replace without breaking the tire loose from the rim.

I have regular valve stems on the outside facing rim that I use routinely to maintain the desired pressure. Have to say I a feeling a little better about posting my original question...thought it was going to be simple and make me feel like a greenhorn. Picture coming soon

Just one on each rim. My brother in law thinks they might be used for putting something in the tire to weight it down, but I can't see any reason for more weight in the rear of the tractor. I will send pictures this weekend.

Heading to ranch this weekend and will take a picture and post. These things are on the inside facing rim and the only reason I found them was I was pouring soapy water around the rim on both sides to check for a bead leak.

The rear wheel on my MX5000 is leaking through what looks like a plug of some type on the rim. Both rear wheels have it, but only one is leaking. No idea what this is for. Any advice on what this is and how to fix would be appreciated.

I have a MX5000 and want to purchase a 3 point auger with 36 inch bit to plant trees on our ranch. Will my tractor handle an auger capable of running a 36 inch bit. If so, any suggestions on which brand?

Sometimes it is the simple things. Pulled my battery to have it checked and it tested ok. The battery terminals and connections looked ok, but I cleaned them and hooked everything back up. Buggy started and ran fine all weekend. Thanks for all the advice...I know a lot more about my engine...

Great ideas...thanks for the feedback. I did check a ground wire that looked like it was part of the fuel solenoid wiring and it appeared ok, but will clean it anyway and look for any other ground wires that could have a bad connection. I do see a relay that appears to be between the fuel...

Further explanation: Engine cranks/turns ok, but won't start. At first, I could tap the fuel solenoid and it would start-up. Then that stopped working. The fuel solenoid is new so I don't think it is defective, maybe just not getting enough amps to trigger the plunger. I thought more...
