Why no valve stem guards?

I can see them being rusted shut from the inside if the nipple isn't 100% welded to the rim. water gets in,round and round, rust forms, oopsy.....

You could always cut a weephole at the bottom to allow any moisture out without compromising the original design.

And then if you don’t take them off for a long time, they are rusted shut. Our payloaders and skidder had them and if you didn’t keep the never seez on them, they could be virtually impossible to get off at times.
Not a fan of rotty nipples...

Sounds like Never Seez and a pipe wrench solves that problem! (Along with some preventive maintenance).
