Why no valve stem guards?

On my 2024 L2502 with R14's the front wheels don't have the metal valve stem guards protecting the valve stems. I've already ripped one valve stem off which resulted in a bent wheel rim. Was backing up looking behind me with a full bucket and didn't see that my front wheel was flat quick enough. Bent the wheel rim. Was able to pound the rim out. But why would Kubota not have valve stem guards? Needles to say, the first chance I get I'm going to weld a guard on.

On my B2910 I took a different route. I got the front tires foam filled 20 plus years ago, and never looked back. Not sure if the front wheels have valve stem guards or not. But Doesn't matter after foam filling.

Front tires are small enough that the foam filling is not THAT expensive. Was a wise choice for me as I was puncturing the front tires more than I liked.

why ? saves money ! don't have to engineer the part, make the part, inventory the part, install the part.....

In 6 years, 3 sets of tires, 1400hrs, never had a valve stem oopsy issue.

And that's the other route I've been thinking about

Well, I can tell you how I did it...

Good ol Murphy bit me in the tail while clearing out felled trees on the large power line that crosses my property. I was parked about 50' away; not directly downhill mind you, and the damn round took a bead on the front like it was shot from a rifle. I think a guard on the front would be nice!

I'm in the woods regularly, and tell you what, you can armor the front tires and the round will head for the headlights. Armor them and the FEL valve arm/block becomes the target. Unless you're driving a tank, park uphill.

I think they should have included it stock on the front matching the rear (it doesn't matter what I think) & could add a U cup but I am being as careful as I can.

On my old BX I replaced all the rubber valve stems with metal and never had any problems again with valve stems aging out.

:p The metal on mine made it really easy for the errant round to knock it right off - you can't make this stuff up

That's strange. I have them on my B2650.

Do like they do on a log skidder, and weld a 2" pipe nipple over the stem and put a cap on it...virtually indestructible.

And then if you don’t take them off for a long time, they are rusted shut. Our payloaders and skidder had them and if you didn’t keep the never seez on them, they could be virtually impossible to get off at times.
