Had some light snow over night. Did I need to plow? No not really. But....come on. Tractor time. It's fun.

It was only maybe 3 inches of that really light fluffy stuff. But the more I can practice my technique the more proficient I can be.

Despite what others said, I plowed the large area and the main drive way in high range. I know what's there, it was safe. It definitely made quick work of it and threw the snow further to the side. Of course didn't use high range to push into the piles. It was a great learning experience anyways.

One thing I love about the tractor is that it's actually not as wide as the side by side I had so with the 6 foot snow plow I can actually "wing" the sides of my driveway. It was next to impossible with the side by side.

Man I just love the power of this tractor. Frozen snowbanks? No problem. It would stop the side by side easy but the tractor will just go through the whole snow bank 🤣

One thing I noticed this winter with the tractor is that I don't get the build up on the driveway like I did plowing with the side by side. Being able to use down pressure is a big advantage. Back dragging is a game changer with down pressure too, couldn't do that very well with the side by side. Just always floated on top and packed it in.

Ok I said too much. Goodnight.

Well, trying my best to make it through winter. Decided I need another project to do on the tractor. Ordered some more LED lights to put on the rear of the tractor. I figured why have bright front facing lights when I wont be able to see behind me well? It will give me something to work on this weekend anyways. I'll be sure to share the project with you :)

Bucked about five tons of hay yesterday using the BX and clamp-on forks. Little tractor did a pretty good job. Struggled with four bales, so the delivery guy and I decided to try three on a pallet, and it worked great. Took us about an hour. The last time we got five tons, I didn't have the Kubota, and it took the missus and me two days to get it all into the feed barn using wagons. That little orange thing paid for itself yesterday.

Was 8* this morning when I headed in to work. Which is pretty dang cold for us, supposed to be much of the same for the next week. Ordered more propane yesterday, I really need the snow and ice to melt off the roof so I can drop the chimney liner down and fire up the insert!! Have soo much wood ready to go.

Used my new to me Frontier RC2060 rotary cutter. Best I can tell it is the equivalent of a landpride 1860. Seemed like a good match for my LX2610SU. Piled some brush up to burn while extending my range from the deer stand.

The forecast said several inches of snow this week, didn't even get 1 inch. More like 3/8" haha. Part of me was bummed because I like tractor time.

I got the lights I'm gonna install for rear of the tractor. Going try to install those tomorrow. I think they're gonna work 😅

Gather old hay from feeding areas, placed in the corral/cover areas for bedding. All the cows are pregnant except 1, just prepping for the upcoming cold snap.

Thank you to those posting photos with grass and dirt. I've forgotten what it looks like under the snow 🤣

Spent yesterday splitting wood for our 10 year anniversary. I guess I’ll keep her around.

That big ol mess of a top behind us will get worked up eventually. We had this dropped months ago as it was overhanging the garage and out building.

Reminds me of our 13th anniversary. Wifey was pregnant with our first and wanted me to make a crib….i would love to dear…but I need a tool that I don’t have…a planner. She says that I should get her a nice planner for our 13th anniversary! Went and got a 6” Powermatic shop planner.

Did that, made the crib and here we are coming up on 45 years…

Keep her OP…may get to 45 some day…

We got a couple inches of wet snow. Temp 36 degrees F.

Supposed to get cold this coming week with highs around 10. Maybe 3-5 tomorrow.

Figured I’d clean some of the wet stuff off before the Syracuse v. Notre Dame basketball game.

Without front chains, made the mistake of getting too far behind the house toward our new back entrance.

Got tangled up with the planter boxes and the box blade and rear blade I keep back there.

Could have easily punctured a tire, or damaged the snowblower.

Won’t do that again…..
