Thinking of a new to me chariot for the MX. Not that I need to haul the tractor often, but I have to borrow a trailer from work, don’t want to make a habit of it. This is 30+5 and the guy will take my car hauler that the MX is too big and heavy for and $4k. I’d be into the gooseneck for $6k total.

@RCW think this will be enough trailer from this?

Here’s the work trailer for reference. 24’ of deck.

Well I hopped on the tractor today and did some snow clean up. Didn't get much...maybe inch or two...but its been accumulating the last week or so with the winds its been making drifts. I wanted to clean up the snow banks, widen the driveway for a potential snowstorm this weekend. I also scrapped down the driveway so there isn't too much slush if it warms up enough. Just some simple work but was nice to be outdoors and not risk getting frostbite haha. Plus the sun felt good on the skin. Needed that..fresh air was nice when I wasn't smelling diesel lol.

I totally understand. I HATE having to go to the neighbors to borrow things. I just sold my 14 foot motorcycle trailer. I'm looking for a 20 foot car hauler now. My neighbor has offered use of his 16 ft car trailer anytime I need it, but no thanks.
I'd rather own than borrow.

Meanwhile in Alabama….

I think the general reaction is “Aw heeell naw!” Got about 3” accumulation meaning at least 6” probably fell. Temp is 31F right now and I felt sprinkling rain on my noggin when I went to feed and water the chickens, so it ain’t gonna last long unless it gets a lot colder. According to the Weather Channel, 97% chance of rain and 37F for the high today. It’ll be gone by lunch time.

The governor (we fondly call her MeeMaw) declared a state of emergency last night and rightly so considering we have nothing to handle it and only idiots think they can drive on the sheet of ice that usually comes down before the snow does. Fortunately, it doesn’t look like we got the usual ice this time. I still see a few brave (or stupid) souls on the nearby road. By the time I got out to the chicken pen and back, I heard no less than 3 go by intentionally spinning the tires and playing on a very dangerous morning. They forget that if there is a SOE in the state, their insurance can and will refuse coverage. I’ll just watch from the sidelines.
You have more snow in Alabama than I do in Upstate New York!

40 miles north they have 5 feet, but we have just enough to cover the grass.....

The trailer looks to be in great shape and the price is hard to beat. What are the axles rated for? It is a lot of trailer for your MX and rotary cutter for sure.

A 25+5 goose neck is in my future to haul the M6060 and RC3712 but I'd want 8k axles at the least and ideally 10k axles to reduce the chance of outgrowing it.

I tested out the hydraulic rear blade yesterday to see how well it would remove snow that builds up along the edge of the driveway and the results were ok.

I just picked up this for my diesel jug. I have a similar one for my gasoline jug and love it.

This is gonna make it easier to add fuel to the tractor, especially where Kubota likes to put their fuel tank.

Call me lazy...but why work harder? No splashing, no losing fuel. It cost money ya know.

OK, this did it. Every night I go out to top off the gen set for the evening run and jack around with the 5g jug. The only thing I don't like is the battery thing. When I first looked this pump up a bunch of 12vdc pumps popped up. You said the batteries lasted you quite a while though. Hmmm. Pondering.

Just started snowing here. So long as we don’t get a bunch of freezing rain it’s all good. 90% chance power will go out. If it’s due to an ice storm it will be out for several days. If we don’t get an ice storm, some dufus in a squatted pickup with giant wheels and rubber band tires will take out a power pole on the curvy road the power line parallels on the way to our place because they are convinced a diesel engine in a 4WD truck they’re running in 2WD allows them to run 60 in a 45 in 4” of snow on top of a sheet of ice. At least that’s what usually happens.

@JRHill - - I have a very similar TERA pump from Amazon.

Probably not quite as fancy.

Really like it. Had it a few (3?) years now. Was $30 +/- back then. Just looked it up and they still have it, but for $60 now.

Amazon.com: TERA PUMP Portable Battery Powered Multipurpose Gas Transfer Pump (2.8 GAL/MIN) Liquid Transfer Pump with Quick Stop Nozzle for Gas, Diesel, DEF (2nd Gen) : Automotive

I don't think it's important that they thread onto the gas can. Probably wouldn't use it if it did.

I use mine for both gasoline and diesel. I don't recall specifications, but some were rated for gasoline. Others didn't specify...... Don't know, but if they didn't specify gasoline, I was a little concerned about a possible spark hazard.

Some of those don't pump as much as others. That's important. I think mine does 3gpm.

I like having a longer hose. I think my hose is ~3 feet.

I like having a valve at the end of the hose.

The one he has a metallic cover on the end. Mine is plastic. Hasn't been a problem, but I can see something a little heavier duty being a good thing.

I’ve used it quite a lot and think I’ve replaced batteries once or twice.

When I topped off the tractor the other day noticed it wasn’t pumping very fast so probably needs another battery replacement.

Hope that helps.

It is a 2018. 7k axles and 14 ply tires. I was originally looking for 25+5 as everything would fit, this would give more room to shift weight around if needed.
