Years ago I was enjoying a pint south of the Canadian border at a bar. A local - and retired marine - was going on about a similar story.
I told him we had two dollar coins in Canada now and he couldn't believe it. So I pulled one out of my pocket and gave it to him. He was enthralled and thought it was the coolest thing since sliced bread.
He offered it back and I said don't worry, you can keep it. That seemed to make his day so much that he started buying me beers for the rest of the night!
That has to be quite heavy to carry around in your pocket, especially if you have more than one!The Brits have a similar 2 pound coin. I have some somewhere. Just in case I go back.
Yes $1 and $2 coins only now. Pain to carry so I throw them in my car's "ash" tray. That has to be quite heavy to carry around in your pocket, especially if you have more than one!
So you gave him about a buck 30 ?View attachment 144524
